The Jesse Singal derangement syndrome/fan thread is the place for lively discussion of it and the regulars there should know more, but I think it boils down to Jesse being a semi-respectable, mainstream-publishable liberal attacking the medical justifications for transgenderism and "youth gender medicine", and amplifying detransitioners.

If it becomes recognized that hormones and mutilation are medically unnecessary and harmful, the house of cards will fall really fast. No more state-sponsored kiddy castrations, far less trannies in general if they all go DIY. Jesse is doing some actual research and investigative reporting, and is not as easy for them to dismiss as a right winger. So they trot out the same stale talking points about "doxing"/HIPPA, call him a Nazi, and threaten to assassinate him. He's definitely high on many wishlists following Charlie Kirk.

Because Troons are like spiders. Predatory and they cannot co-exist with another of their kind in the same proximity. Two non-mutually exclusive possibilities that I find highly likely for individuals like this.

1. This isn't even the most extreme logical endpoint of people who think that speech can be and is literal violence. Silencing them and anyone else's ability to listen to them is a nice first step for people who think that speech they dislike should be criminal.
2. They had the power as a mob to deplatform people previously, they are used to that standard, they personally very much enjoyed having that power, and they have been told in no uncertain terms that they do not have that power anymore. This makes them very very angy.

In their minds they are entitled to deplatform and morally/socially obligated to do so when someone violates whatever they believe the rules are. There doesn't even need to be introspection about whether the accusations are true, only that the mob must be sated and they must be seen with a pitchfork and torch demanding satisfaction, possibly just to maintain appearances if nothing else.
It's the same type that made Tumblr miserable, that makes /r/againsthatesubreddits on reddit and actively tries to get subreddits banned, that patrolled and de facto ruled twitter for the longest time, that infiltrate and ruin all sorts of hobby communities and hollow them out with accusations and purges. It's nice that the Bluesky admins are at least self-aware enough to see a cancer and nip it in the bud. Perhaps they'll do better than the other twitter alternatives long-term if they do this; although they still have the big hurdle of attracting normie users.
