Great OP btw, I hope we can use the thread to chart all the Twitter-abandoners who flock back into Elon's arms, and how long they were able to stay away. I predict virtually all of them will be back before the end of the year, if they're not already browsing on an alt.

Are we returning back to the era of Web 1.0 and having multiple forums for a specific demographic again? I mean if you think about it, Bluesky is basically Leftist Twitter and Gab is Right-Wing Twitter while X sort of is more like Centrist Twitter at this point.

If the fediverse is a good example, you can probably make money off a cool domain name (the one that isn't just generic name.bsky.social) and sell people accounts on it.
 
There's been a recent exodus of a number of mostly no-name (with few exceptions) historians to bluesky, caused by Musk being a vile oligarch that does not apprecciate intellectuals or something.

Out of all people on bluesky, they truly have the most unwarranted sense of self importance. X (Formerly Twitter) is not a niche website that caters to the needs of one particular group. It's a blanket utilitarian social media website with multiple genres and niches on it. The vast majority of people associate the site with news and current events as the primary niche with other niches being a secondary factor. This was the case even before the Elon takeover.

This is obvious to the vast majority of people, but to bluesky artists and it's userbase at large, they are so far up their own god damn ass that they think they're the center of the universe. It's clear that Bluesky is just Gab for SJWs, but these people have been so diluted that they don't realize it.
 
I feel like the beta period where it was invite only gave a lot of these Bluesky users a sense of superiority and entitlement, as if they were part of some super exclusive club that the chuds weren't invited to.
