It has been funny watching a load of artists pretend to run away from Twitter only to keep posting but now with a 10% opacity watermark that they somehow think will stop the AI training.

I made an account making it as non-threating as I can to see other people's posts and follow. Then if I want to troll them and/or grill them when they don't know what is coming. I did that for a long time on X/Twitter. I lost that account now on my end. Forgot the password and/or junk email.

i left the two replies i saw first there in the screenshot because it shows the discrepancy i talked about that will undermine their rn okayish growth, the established account has twitter tier engagement, but the replies ie the non-established accounts have fuck all, a barren desert of engagement. which tells me bluesky is doomed to attract only the users who want to easily like corpo celeb slop and basically no one else. which is good for the celebs as their hugbox is stable enough for them but certainly nothing to grow a twitter competitor from.

I'd like to propose an idea. It's something I just started doing due to an irl I know who publicly posted her bluesky on FB and I wanted to get further laughs at her expense. But basically I made a troll account that is very subtle. I would like to see more accounts like this, and we can support eachother with likes. I noticed this person liked two of my replies and I believe he could tell I was trolling.


Anyways so this will inflate the bluesky numbers somewhat but I think it's worth it. We can hopefully shake up their echochamber a little bit by being so over the top they might stop and think for a second, maybe. Or it'll just be a fun time.

It's very revealing when half the discussions on Bluesky are about leaving X. For some of these troons, they've been on this platform for literal months, yet they can't stop re-assuring people how glad they are to be on bluesky.

While making this post, I was curious what else these losers talk about. I decided to search up a couple common one-word terms that would otherwise yield you all a variety of results anywhere else. Bluesky on the other hand is as predictable as a transgender suicide. Let me give you some examples:

They discuss nothing else that includes the word "App“. They only talk about enjoying Bluesky, or disliking X literally every minute. Look at the timestamps.

Bluesky has one of the worst social media content algorithms I've seen. I created a sock account there a while ago to experiment with the service, and for my life, I couldn’t find any meaningful way to filter content. No matter how many filters I applied, accounts I muted, or how much I adjusted my following/unfollowing habits, the suggested content always fell into one of these categories:
-Whining about politics and/or current events
-Obsessing over Twitter/Elon from afar
-"Yeah this site is sooooo much better than Twitter"
-Reposted links saying, "Go look at this content over here instead, I'm not gonna post it on Bluesky"
-Occasional comic or cute drawing
-Untagged porn

The moderation lists are certainly an easy thing to abuse, though, because there's nothing stopping people from putting you into a list like "racist" or "literally Hitler" or "block these assholes" and you can't do shit about it. After all, they let everyone have these moderation powers. To give you an idea of how nuts this could get, imagine if Null randomly gave every single user on the forum the ability to ban any other user at will, the entire forum would go to shit fast. You'd have people banning everyone who looked at them funny, people who get banned just for hopping online, and people just banning everyone else for the hell of it.

I think the only thing that's keeping Bluesky from descending into complete anarchy is the fact that there's currently no way to see who is following a moderation list, and listmakers currently have zero way of checking that. Mark my words, if Bluesky makes that information public to other users (or someone figures out how to check that in the API), the entire site is going to implode on itself in a matter of hours.

I guess the best thing about Bluesky is that right now it serves as a nice containment zone. All the loudmouth people screeching about politics or trooning out can fuck off now.
