Bluesky - "Decentralized" Twitter Alternative. Leftist Tranny Hugbox. "Answer" to Elon Musk's "Fascist" Takeover of 𝕏 (Formerly Twitter).

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesnt the term 'reactionary' essentially mean the same thing, that you're wrong for thinking that trannies meddling into every part of society is a reaction to 'progress'.
"Reactionary" as a term is most commonly used by marxists and other leftists as a critical term for those opposed to communism. At least, that is how it is used historically. Nowadays it's very watered down and even more vague, but I'd say it is mostly communists who still use it. On the right it refers to something very different and was taken as a term for self-identification, despite being mostly used by marxists as a pejorative.

I saw "reactionary" as a term for those who wanted to roll back the changes made by the cultural shifts from the 1960s and forwards, basically undoing things like women's rights, and the like. Beyond "conserving", you know?

These people don't understand that a human right is something that can readily apply to every person not just one group of people, a right that targets one group is equity, a right that targets everyone is equality
Why do you think people like MovieBob are so keen to dehumanise the people who don't align with his politics? Don't need human rights if you're not considered human, chud :smug:

In regards to the API scrape spergout, I found this reply pretty funny:

"open does not mean free to use for whatever you want" womp womp fatty all your MAP sympathising posts are belong to us.

Just wondering from y'all, does Bluesky hate anime?
A typical "Bluesky" user likely hates animu because of "woke" delusions. Also seems SJWs want to turn new animu into Steven Universe.

While I do not think hating animu is always "based", at least non-SJW anime haters don't always try to force their views on others...

"open does not mean free to use for whatever you want"
Why does it seem like wannabe commie SJWs are so pro-copyright? 🤔

Don't let him pull the wool over your eyes. They're one in the same. They just think by selling their weakest links up the river that they can blend in and be 'one of the good ones'. Anything that comes out of their mouths needs to be taken with a mountain of salt.
Then, they call themselves "asking for basic rights"
Which ones? I still don't understand which ones I have that they supposedly do not. They have never once been able to answer this question. You want to chop your cock off and wear a dress? If you're a grown ass man you can do that.

Do they mean the """right""" to not have to pay for it? Because it's not like my fat ass has the """right""" to get a chin lift, lipo, dick pills, etc. Affording your chop shop 'girl magic' is a privilege afforded only because your other basic needs are fulfilled (by your actual rights, funnily enough).

Well, what if you're not an adult man? Do they mean the """right""" for children to go through with these procedures (yes)? Why on earth should that concern them (rhetorical)?

Is it the """right""" to insert themselves into women's spaces? That's not a """right""", because the issue of 'trannies not being able to be in women's spaces' is an invented problem that did not exist until they started cutting their cocks off and learned (shockingly) women do not want to share locker rooms with freaks who are obviously just trying to get easy access to women (and, no, pretending that trannies have been prevalent figures throughout all of human history is not fooling anybody).

They never seem to be able to answer exactly which 'rights' they do not have. This is simply because it would require them to go fully mask-off and have the balls (ha) to state that it is about getting into women's bathrooms, it is about getting children into it, and that it is indeed a sexual thing.

Exactly. There have only been 2 cases of these drag queens being against performing in schools. While that is noble, perverts desiring to limit their perversion from other parts of society is the exception, not the rule.

I agree. At least, if these troons are adults doing their troonery in front of other consenting adults who made the decision to be faggots, then that's being responsible with your audience.

One political spergefest coming right up!

I am 50% sure Mark Zuckerberg will run as JD Vance VP pick in the next election. Will Bluesky be around long enough for the left on Threads to exodus?
Zuckerberg being VP for JD Vance will be an interesting thing to see. Running Facebook, Instagram, and Threads it will make Woke Bluesky cry in shambles.

Potentially interesting tech: someone wrangled Bluesky's PDS system into hosting a website.

TL;DR the AT protocol doesn't restrict which blobs are stored (files such as images or PDFs), although Bluesky's implementation only has certain file types implemented. So he authenticated into his given PDS, pushed up an html file, and referenced it to get the URL. In theory he could recreate a full site like this, as long as it's made of static, linkable resources.

The ability to do anything shady is limited, since you'd have to be known to the network through authentication, which is still centralized. The Bluesky team told him this was fine, they didn't consider it an attack vector. In fact this is a feature of the underlying AT spec:

So why does Bluesky provide direct unauthenticated access to the PDS getBlobs endpoint? Once again illustrating the beauty of open source, there is an issue describing the original motivation. In it, image labeling and user content export, as well as additional future use cases, are enumerated. There is also a mention of the possibility of users hotlinking content and Bluesky for free hosting, so these issues are clearly top-of-mind. The original implementation did not include the proper security headers, but they were subsequently added.

Traditional social platforms can place more restrictions on blobs at time of upload because there is a limited set of valid content. The extensibility of Bluesky and the AT Protocol, which is what differentiates it from traditional networks, also necessitates more complexity. However, I, and clearly the awesome folks building Bluesky, think it’s clearly worth it.

That's decent forward thinking.

I bring it up because the underlying tech seems more useful than the trannies and screeching liberals on top of the platform would suggest. At the end of his write-up, Mangum does a proof of concept embedding the website into an actual Bluesky post.

He sees the possibility for storing and sharing WebAssembly code through Bluesky posts, which would let you do things like play games or host entire VMs. With a well-written front end application, that would effectively let users extend the social network functionality, adding app-level features without needing the central dev team to do it.

It all relies on the benevolence of free hosting though, which can be throttled or cut off at any time. And considering the main people interested in the platform are political refugees and crazed weirdos, I don't know that they'll get a large enough tinkering and development group together to do something really innovative.

It's just interesting to know some potential is there.
