The entire reason why Threads gained a massive amount of traction in the first place was because Zuckerberg merged Facebook accounts into Threads, similar to what Google did with Youtube and Google+ like over a decade ago. The novelty wore off and the fizzling began when everyone realized that they use Twitter for Twitter and not Facebook for Twitter. I expect it to be completely shuttered by the end of the year.

Also it came out that if you delete your Threads account you are forced to delete your Instagram and FB account too and worse, people realized that getting banned on threads would get you nuked on IG and FB so it was not worth the risk.
