This is a very insightful comment. They want to play-act being revolutionaries, because they want to be smart, cool, and morally-understanding. They don’t want to go through the process of becoming those things, so they copy the affectations of people they presume to be smart. The “Che Guevara t-shirt” is a classic, old-school example of this behaviour. Most of the people who wore those shirts back in the day had no clue who he was.
It leads to them completely misrepresenting their political opposition. I recently watched a cartoon by a “woke-ish” creator, and there was a scene where some stereotypical homophobic woman screeches about gays exposing her kids to their “degenerate lifestyle”. It was something straight out of 2003, but it was released a few days ago. The main issue people have is kids being given Lupron, but they’re not even cognizant of that.
And yet they only apply this logic halfway. Consider the whole statue debacle in the United States, which later spread to places like Spain. Okay, so we take down the statues of slaveowners because racism is bad and shouldn’t be aggrandized in an ostensibly freedom-loving country… got it. Cool.
So… uh… what about John Lennon beating his wife and stealing songs she wrote about women’s liberation? What about him doing drugs while babysitting his infant son? Endangering him profusely? Nothing? It seems black people matter, but not Asian women, Asian children, or white children. And what about all the black men who abused women and children? Or cheated on their wives? Are we going to take their statues down? No? Just the white man racists? Okay, then.
It just shows how this is about power rather than genuine concern about the aggradizement of morally bankrupt or dubious people. It’s so insincere and exhausting.
I mean, people do kiss his ass, but it’s less a cult of personality or a product of shared political beliefs and more of “this guy lets me sneed”. People tend to like people they associate with services they enjoy. If you like a website, you’re gonna shill for the guy running it the same way you’ll “shill” for the fireman who rescues your cat from your burning house. Right now, across the globe, there are only a handful of “trans-inclusive” countries. Norway, Iceland, Sweden, Canada, etc. I’m going to use Canada as a case-study because of how Anglophone this website is. In Canada, right now, 56% of Canadians accept the scientific truth of the binary nature of sex. 1/3 of Canadians define women as “adult human females”, and 18% say trannies only count as women after they get their cocks removed. In one of the most “trans-friendly” countries on the planet, a decent chunk of the population refuses to believe this shit.
Canada is an exception, as I said before, so we can assume that most other countries today have even stronger opposition to tranny-ness. And we’re just talking about the modern era. Throughout human history, no one believed this shit. It’s a confabulation of the modern world to sell consumer goods like cosmetic surgery and sex toys. When you consider human beings across space and time, you realize how insignificant the tranny cult is.
I agree with most of your post in that I agree that Kiwi Farms is more “diverse” than the “notorious doxing hate-site” label would imply. I agree that the things you listed are frequently cited as proof as these things. What I disagree with is that these things are the cause of the chuddy reputation. That exists because certain individuals have a vested interest in shutting this website down, and ad hominems are useful in their pursuit.
I can’t remember if it was Lucas “Keffals” Sorenti or John “Brianna” Wu who said this, but a tranny once said that they knew they and another tranny they were arguing with were women because of their capacity to bitch endlessly at each other. It’s almost as if “woman” is a catch-all term for “behaviours that people normally discourage in me because they’re annoying” to these “people”.
