Bluesky - "Decentralized" Twitter Alternative. Leftist Tranny Hugbox. "Answer" to Elon Musk's "Fascist" Takeover of 𝕏 (Formerly Twitter).

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
copying my post from the TDS thread:

Hot take: Bluesky got ran over by AI/China bots trying to sway people to the left, which is why there's so many profiles like:

Anna Shillelagh #FreePalestine #SlavaUkraine #NoKings #Drumpf #WorkersRightsNow

Yet, when you look at their profiles, a majority of their posts are reposts of news articles/tweets made by actual people/other bots, or reply's with a AI image and a snarky comment.

Do I think there's real people there? yes, but AI drives the conversation there.

I just logged on on the app after months and it feels so barren. Just the same as last time, posts of randos complaining about politics and also this time, for some reason, posts of random fags taking selfies. I don't know why the fuck it decided to put shit like that in my front page since I haven't interacted with anything or anyone, but yeah. I can't wait for the day this shit bites the dust.

The one thing I've noticed is posts with lots of likes and few if any replies. A couple of artists I like walked off Twitter in a snit following the election, so part of the reason I signed up at BS was to follow them. This is even before I kind of realized what a grab of psychoses the rest of the site was.

Stuff like this seems pretty typical:
1751741682740.webp
Three replies, 206 likes and 46 whatever they call retweets. Obviously you'd expect replies to be lower than likes, but that much lower? Seems weird, at least at first glance.

To be fair, this is consistent with a place where censorship is extremely heavy-handed. A like is relatively low-key on Blocksky.

This was reddit's strategy early on. Fake it until you make it. The big companies are salivating at the thought of AI because they know they can use it to make fake engagement that is more addicting than talking to actual people.

That's normal. Bluesky is like twitter where the objective is to doomscroll. There's a thousand posts just like it waiting for them further down so why bother stopping to comment on any particular one? Forums like what we're using definitely are not the norm.

I highly recommend checking in on r/BlueskySocial every so often, the only thing stranger than using the site is using the Reddit.
Lately, they've become paranoid that the site is dying and that some shadowy group is spreading disinformation. The rest of it is filled with valid complaints about Bluesky not working properly, or memes about how great it is.

They're desperate for Elon to make people leave, even though one reason to stay on Xitter = you can make fun of Elon.

Holy shit, you'd think that'd never happen. I mean, isn't it (it doesn't deserve to be a human being at this point considering it wishes for the grizzly rape and murder of everyone else who slightly disagrees with them) exactly the kind of people who make up 90% of the actual human bluesky userbase?

He has a gooner account here so he’ll probably use that next.
