Rubbish. Bluesky is "consequential" in the same way Voat, Gab, and a variety of other Reddit alternatives are/were consequential. Using it is a political statement, first and foremost. The difference between Bluesky and said Reddit alternatives is that Bluesky was funded and pushed by Big Tech and certain political factions, whereas Voat and the others were suppressed and targeted as enemies of the Powers That Be.
You are massively understating the magnitude of Bluesky's failure. It failed in spite of having every opportunity to succeed. You're making it out to be some kind of organic success story. Bluesky was coursing with money, talent, and political influence from the very start, with the explicit intent of killing Twitter and restoring popular social media discourse to a venue that the elites can still reliably control.
That has always been Bluesky's sole reason to exist. It was never about "competing with Twitter." The intent was always to kill and replace Twitter, and the Powers That Be threw their full weight behind it. In this regard - as with almost every other - it has been an abject failure. It will never be anything more than what it is right now. If it wasn't for botting and Reddit being forced from the top down to adopt it as the People's Platform, it would be even more crushingly irrelevant. It is a site with absolutely zero social currency, zero sway, zero influence on popular discourse.
It's Facebook for insane, insufferable Leftists, and that's all she wrote.
For comparison's sake, Facebook has around 2.1 million daily users. Bluesky has around 4.1 million. Facebook is twenty-one years old and widely regarded as being exclusively for boomers. Those are not good numbers.

We believe Bluesky owes Gazans, and the entire community who benefits from their voices, a greater duty of care especially in the context of the horrors they are enduring. We ask Bluesky to implement the following changes:
- Provide information on all Bluesky-affiliated websites in Arabic that explains the rules and expectations of the site in clear language.
- Investigate the accounts that are mass-reporting Palestinians on Bluesky. The mass reporting of Palestinians on Bluesky is a group effort to render the platform a hostile place for a community based on their ethnicity. As such, it is racism, and should be understood as such. Reports against Palestinians who have broken no community guidelines must be understood as racism, and the accounts that submit those reports should be disregarded in the future.
- Many Bluesky users encourage Gazans to tag or reply to them, and this is not always understood as unwelcome behavior. If an account is reported as Spam for tagging or replying to others, treat only reports from the tagged/mentioned account as legitimate, seeing as they were the only ones who received a notification.
- Send emails regarding disciplinary action every time it is taken. Gazans do not always get an email explaining what they did wrong, and those that do are required to parse a language they do not speak in order to understand their violation. Have these emails contain an easily visible link to information about their violations in Arabic.
- Respond to appeals in a timely fashion, many Gazans simply never hear back from Bluesky after they appeal a decision.
- In addition to removing Gazans for alleged spam behavior, Bluesky has also sometimes indicated that they are deleting an account for being a scam or acting in a fraudulent manner. If Bluesky is removing someone for an alleged fraud or scam violation, evidence of how they have done this needs to be provided to the user. Many Gazans have been suspended on these grounds with absolutely no justification.
- Prioritize temporary penalties for rule violations as a warning instead of permanently suspending accounts. This could include: Temporarily limiting their ability to post, reply, or DM on Bluesky, or giving temporary suspensions after communicating clear expectations for future behavior.
- End IP bans on any account from Gaza and allow them to make new accounts where they can comply with Bluesky rules and continue to be valued members of the community.

of its current userbase, but not 41% of every single person who ever signed up.
i think theyll get to that milestone and when they do, for real, lets find a fun way to announce it and community happening it.

I dunno where you got your numbers from but there's no way this is correct. Facebook has something like 3-4billion users monthly. Even if we assume each user only checks their facebook once a month, that still averages out to ~100million+ users daily. Facebook is a hulking giant compared to bluesky. Facebook probably has more accounts deleted daily than bluesky has active daily users.

explanation: facebook doesnt count you if you havent logged in >30 days. bluesky does.
why? facebook has a metric for Average Revenue Per User. if youre not logging in, youre not consuming bandwidth or costing facebook anything to be there for you, you have a flat monthly cost to them and its not offset by ads. its only active users where they have to TRY to make $8-9 per month off of every single one of you, thats impossible if you deleted the app and or dont log in. when your website has accounts for 1/3 of the entire world population , you only give a shit about whos actually logged in and using it at some point.

The problem with the leftist tenet "by any means necessary" is that that sort of sentiment attracts the worst sort of people that want any excuse to justify their criminal impulses. And by empowering people like that you end up with the worst possible version of your movement, should it succeed.
That's one of the reasons why they always end up with the worst most murderous version of communism every time it takes over a country.

That's not even exactly true. Agnosticism asserts nothing (except in a strong form that perhaps the answer to the question is epistemologically unknowable), but at least some forms of atheism quite specifically do assert the nonexistence of God, or at least the extreme unlikelihood of it according to the atheists (like Dawkins) who take this partially agnostic view.
Atheism simply means lack of the belief in the existence of God, but some atheists (and plebbit and BS houses a lot of these) actively insist God certainly does not exist and on top of that, anyone who believes God does exist is an evil moron.
