There are 100% bot sub accounts that are very likely being used by feds to inflate numbers. I don't ggive a shit if it's on reddit, bluesky, twitter, fuck there's definitely a form of bot involvement, wouldn't be the first time.

This is why the gov accounts on Bluesky are a great idea. It could cause platform and audience fragmentation, right in the heart of the most crazed online leftists. Doesn't matter where they go, only that they aren't concentrated enough to be successful.

Conveniently, they were already threatening an exodus over the rape porn ban, and Jesse Singal still being allowed on platform. Having LiTeRaL nAzIS with surveillance departments hanging around may be the final push for them.

They are not going anywhere, despite the performative tears and troon histrionics; this is a blessing in disguise for the citizens of Bluesky. This provides them with an easy way to virtue signal and a chance to play pretend resistance fighters against an opponent that can't fight back too hard. Most importantly, it acts as a relief valve to slow down the rampant infighting on the platform caused by a lack of obvious foes to fight without having to venture outside their ideological reservation.
It's a win-win situation: we get to sit and watch the chaos unfolding, and they get easy brownie points for fighting Orange Man's Reich from their phone. The only losers in this scenario are, once again, the site's owners, who I suspect will have to put jannies in double duty for a time.
I'm glad Bluesky got this much-needed shot in the arm. I want the site to survive long enough to reach the day when they finally have to enforce some form of monetisation. Mark my words, when they try to squeeze blood from their incredibly entitled metaphorical stone, shit will get positively nuclear:
