Sorry to necro this but the guy who had this done mostly only did this to see if he could. I've heard it's a bitch to maintain because unlike how most piercings "heal" this thing never does and it's just a pain in the ass and is in a weird state of not really healed.
Powerlevel but bodymods are amazing to me and if I didn't want to work in a professional environment I'd get a lot.
Anyone interested in good modification should look up stuff about Samppa Von Cyborg and his wife Aneta. They do my favorite ear pointing modifications and they both look awesome.

One of the first pages I went to was "Why?"

Either they have no idea how evolution works, or they are admitting that they remove themselves from the gene pool.

Well, that, and they're also probably unaware that evolution doesn't necessarily entail improvement, but just change.

It could cause dry mouth.

Apparently he has to plug the holes up to eat soup or drink water, and has to take small bites. I wonder if he has to drink through a straw. *gag*

I can imagine all the difficulties that come from having all these holes in your face, and my biggest question is, why? This asstard had to know how these holes would significantly affect certain aspects of his life (negatively) and like a fucktard he chose to go ahead with it anyway.

If I remember right that guy had a fascination with zombies or something. He also started with just normal cheek piercings and stretched them up. He seems like a chill enough dude.
Honestly I don't think it's affected his life negatively per se. He's had an extreme mod done but he's no stranger to the effect his mods have on other people and how it will impact his life. He seems to be doing ok for the most part.

How about when he's 90 (assuming he lives that long) A old, saggy face with holes in it... ew.

Generally, I think the whole "but what happens to your tattoos when you get old?" argument is kinda dumb, since we all get old, and nobody's gonna look that great anyways. This, however raises a good point. What happens if he needs dentures or something like that?

I can't imagine the amount of drool on his pillow. *blech*

If, one day, he chooses to have the holes closed, it's at least possible to do it--which is more than you can say for some of the more extreme mods. It would no doubt leave scars, but for a dude who has been totally okay with having gaping holes in both cheeks, I doubt that would be an issue.

As for, "But when you're old it will look gross!" objection, a lot of old people would laugh at that. In Westernized cultures, the normal, unchecked bodily changes of old age are already considered repulsive and undesirable. Is an 80-year-old going to be considered less "hot" for being covered with blurry tatts and sagged-out piercings than they would with no mods at all? Hardly.
