I think it's just another root of how modern media and culture has discovered outrage, upset, and demoralization fosters engagement far more than anything positive does. This is more or less just that same mindset but applied to sexual material. The entire foundational point of it is to upset and demoralize the viewer. The people that make it don't get upset by it, which is why they spam it so much. Its purpose requires you to be an unwilling participant in viewing the content.

Advanced Profanity Filter plugin. I know it may not seem like much, but you may be surprised how much good simply censoring the words associated with this fetid trash can do. I personally have it set so that any words I don't want to see are replaced with【𝐑𝐄𝐃𝐀𝐂𝐓𝐄𝐃】.

This is a good reminder. Spamming and botposting is at an all time high on the internet. We know for a fact social media can trick your brain into thinking a curated timeline of images and what not is someones reality, rather than just brief snapshots.
People need to be reminded more that this isn't reality nor is it even close. Technology and psychological tactics are being used against people to demoralize them.
The 4chan spam is definitely the most weird part of this, I noticed several /pol/ threads, especially the /chug/ general being spammed with this sort of thing. Are they really paid, or are they just deranged gooners? Who's paying them?
Israel is the main one. But there are other groups that pay for this, specifically with /pol/. /pol/ is the closest thing to an easily accessible and often used forum of political dissent. Views and beliefs that go against the mainstream story being sold can be openly discussed there. There's not many other options that allow you to actually do this. I'm not saying /pol/ is particularly effective or useful, it's trash. But the point is that if normies wish to dissent, /pol/ would likely be their first call after getting banned from reddit.
This is where the spam comes in. Your average normgoid is, as we call in the business, "fucking retarded" as far as technology comes. Most won't know how to setup filters and what not. So they come to the place where they could express dissent in some way, see things that gross them out and feel demoralized, then decide they're not going to use the website if it means having to actively see that content.
