Board Discussion & Thread Suggestions

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
I have a question regarding this board as well.

If a person of interest who's thread got taken down is suing a person in another state for copyright of characters they claim as their's but the lawsuit hasn't happened yet, would a thread be applicable once the lawsuit is officially in the works? (sorry for the wording)

Got taken down? There's a very, very limited number of people that applies to and if it's any of the porn cows I'm not interested. They're too much to deal with.

And this board is only for the study of active lawsuits with real court paperwork to examine.

Fair enough. Just asking for a second opinion, espicially since the lawsuit has a very real possibility of not happening or even being a scam with how the person is asking for money to fund the lawsuit. If I get something that shows the lawsuit is taking off, I'll post on this board again. Thank you for your time at this late hour

So, I apparently did get the lawsuit I mentioned in my previous post this afternoon. Haven't looked over it yet due to my inexperience with legal stuff in general but I will be going over it with a experienced person tonight and meeting with an attorney tomorrow

edit: I'll just add in the last of my posts for this when the trial is fully completed and see if it's acceptable for this sub forum with a summary and op in my next post

Would we consider the Jeremy "TheQuartering/Unsleeved Media"Hambly v. Matt "Fantastic" Loter for this?

If I understand @Null's aims for this board, as long as there are court documents and it involves internet drama, then probably yes.

New one that might be worth watching.

Worth noting this isnt a legal case yet but it should be worth having eyes on.

TLDR-
Witcher novels author Andrzej Sapkowski has sent a demand of payment of $16m to CD Projekt Red.

In an interview with Eurogamer last year Sapkowski said he sold the rights to Witcher on the cheap and refused additonal royalty payments apparently not believing that CDPR would turn a profit off the games.

Sapkowskis letter alleges the deal runs afoul of royalty laws in Poland. Specifically Article 17 of the Market Abuse Regulation, according to CDPRs public response.

CDPR says its fulfilled its contractual obligation and is basically telling the guy to fuck off.

This hasnt gone to court yet, so probably shouldnt be graduated to a thread of its own until it does.
