Diplomacy. You really need a full complement of 7 players to get the most out of it though. You can play two-handed with just three players but it loses the "stab your buddy" element of the standard game. Also, try to mix up which player is which country in your gaming group or the bloke who gets saddled with Austro-Hungary (which usually gets fucked like a whore on payday by Russia, Turkey, Germany, and Italy all at the same time every game) every time might just murder you all.

There is an unofficial Game of Thrones skin for Diplomacy floating about out there; if you're playing that read "the Riverlands" for Austro-Hungary.

I recently played Pandemic/Outbreak, where you work as a team to fight four diseases spreading through the world. Think co-op Risk. Very enjoyable.

Anybody out there have any good suggestions for the following circumstances?

My lady and I are going to be spending a week giving tours at a historical structure without electricity. Tours are from 10-4 so we're going to have a ton of free time in the evening. There will be drinking and imbibing of weed. There's good hiking, swimming and things to do around the structure so not looking for games that require hours of playtime and/or tons of rules and intricacies, just some fun shit to pass the time in case it rains or whatever. Card games are good too. We have sequence which is pretty chill and I think I'll pick up a copy of the bunny one mentioned earlier.

If you’ve played the Plague Inc video game, the Plauge Inc board game is pretty good. Easy to learn with tons of player agency and strategic choice.
