Robert, unable argue the point being made because he couldn't find the answer on Wikipedia, resorts to wishing harm upon someone, without explicitly saying so.
Again foiled by a strike to the intellect, Robert reverts to his most tried and true tactic: saying, "You are not a person."
You will be dead long before commercial space travel becomes reality, Robert.
This "Glaze" thing is interesting, and it's almost hilarious to see Robert not getting what's happening.
Robert likes to talk about the "properly evolved" people (or he used to, at one point.) Evolution, or "selection pressure," involves adverse circumstances driving certain traits to become dominant. For example, humans became complex tool users and evolved to walk to migrate away from our volatile origins and to survive in a hostile world; as we migrated, intelligence to survive the varied climates we found ourselves in evolved as well (e.g., skinning animals in cold climates, making boats and spear fishing in the tropics, etc.) The reason evolution takes so long is because it takes a while for unwanted genes to be bred out of a species. But humans have been directing evolution in many species for literal centuries (sheep are larger and woolier than their ancestors, to name one example.)
AI isn't living, and so cannot evolve on its own. But humans can direct its evolution. Glaze is the selection pressure. AI image generation will not go away; too much porn is being generated for it to do so. But humans will learn how Glaze works, and will create a workaround AI can use. In a twist of irony, attempts to stop AI will result in its growth.
Welcome to the Superior Future, Cinema Robert. How'd that Monkey's Paw work out for you?
