As to Death Stranding, it's a weird looking game. You get the uncanny valley effect because Kojima wanted the characters to look as much like the actors modeling them as possible.

Most Japanese and Korean games will not try to do this which is why they look a lot different. However, American games usually make the female characters more masculine looking these days because of the whole trans rights agenda. Kojima was 100% trying to make the most Hollywood and American game he could here, which makes Bob's anime rant in this context even stupider.
