No Bob, you agree with him because you've always been about style over substance and would rather have giant CGI spectacles than spoken dramas where you have to pay attention to what's going on, because you're dumber than you want people to think you are.
oh shit, does this mean Sara's preggo AGAIN? What manner of FAS spergoloid is in the making now?
Yeah, I think it was announced a few weeks ago but it seems like baby number three is on the way. I guess Chris is making enough at his job that he doesn't have to beg people to donate to his patreon anymore if he can afford a third child on a single salary.

Bob will never grow or change. He still believes his superior future is right around the corner. He still believes the moon holds something of value. He still believes he's a genius creative and could prove it if Hollywood would just give him the money he needs to make the next big genre defining epic. And he refuses to accept that he will never have the world he wants because his cartoons lied to him.

This is why I come back to this thread: Schadenfreude.

Funny. I don't remember any of the major mainstream media outlets ever touching Führer Hillary's E-mails at the same level as they did Donald Trump's "grab 'em by the pussy" tapes--the latter of which being far less a threat to American security.

So, if I'm interpreting this correctly, it seems that Leftists are more concerned about women falling in line with "21st-century" feminism than actually finding happiness in being a 1950s-era, stay-at-home housewife. Sounds like the Leftist version of women has more in common with The Handmaid's Tale's Gilead than it does the American ideal.

Bob's comments on any localization or censorship drama can always be refuted by simply pointing out, "Elsewhere Bob you said you want all this Japanese stuff deliberately ruined to 'own the weebs' so pardon me if your arguments seem a tad disingenuous."

Other people have translated Bobese well enough, so I'll build on their arguments: wages and ingredients aren't the only costs in the fast food business. You have licensing and fees to run the restaurants, water/electric bills, insurance, employee 401k matching, pension liabilities, taxes, lawyers, stock dividends, and more. What happens is company accountants add all those costs up, take a guess as to how many burgers they're going to sell next year, and price the burgers accordingly so not only do they make back their operating costs, they have a profit to show shareholders.

For example, say KiwiCorp's bean counters added up all our costs and found they came to $100 for the year. They also estimate we'll sell about 200 widgets for the year. If we just wanted to break even, we'd price them at 50 cents per widget. If we wanted to make a profit, we'd price them at 55 cents per widget. If one of our costs unexpectedly rose, we'd pass the cost onto the customer in the form of higher prices.

When I was a kid there was 3 Networks and Hallelujah we got a 4th with Fox. PBS produced a few low budget things, there were a few Syndicated Shows like TNG or Mama's Family but this was a new thing so there weren't too many syndicated shows and cable channels like HBO, Showtime, and USA started making a handful of shows. My point is there weren't a ton of jobs in television probably why shows were better back then you had to be good to get a job.

Now there are 5 networks if you count the CW, dozens of cable channels making dozens of shows each, and let's see Disney, Hulu, Netflix, Paramount, Peacock, Apple, Amazon, Tubi, Shudder, 9 just of the top of my head streaming services making shows or films. & you can make your own fucking content on your phone and post it on YouTube or TikTok like you do Blobby. If you can't find a job today in the industry or at least make your own content people want to watch it means you suck so badly you can't even match up to the mediocre shit put out on a daily basis today and you really should consider another field of work. Try Starbucks Blobby says that noble work.

I am pretty sure bob is talking about how mcdonalds makes most of their revenue through real estate. Which is something he only half understands per usual.
Mcdonalds does make a ton from the property they rent out, but the rentees are the franchises who also need to generate profits to pay that rent in the first place on top of franchising fees.
So no Bob, they do not arrive at some magic number arbitrarily and labor cost still affects your nuggies price.

Why would Bob understand labor cost affecting prices? Even at his time at Blockbuster, he was never in management, he never saw any numbers. And now his costs are near zero living with his mom. He literally is unable to understand why a 20 hour minimum wage would raise the price of nuggies and a Big Mac.

It's 2024.

Bob is still an ignorant pork.
He is still a virgin.
He has no savings.
He has no place to call his own.
More and more people realize he has nothing interesting or humane whatsoever to say.
His earnings are diminishing by the month and he has no idea how to revert his situation.

But he is still blaming conservatives and righties for his woes. As usual.

Hey, heres a crazy, maybe instead of begging for ammo, you guys get your coked up Oompa Loompa of a president finally agree to peace talks and stop being an arse?

As for Will: Huge democratic country? Cause pretty sure Ukraine doesnt fit that bill, also "democratic", the country where protestors were chased into a building and got shot or burned alive? The same country where Zelenskii instantly stomped any political party he could? The same democratic Ukraine where a Nazi fuck like Bandera is considered a national hero?

I'd wager even if he could/did "see the numbers' he'd just choose to not believe them.

My own personal Bob had a similar view of economics - that everyone MUST be price gouging. That it couldn't POSSIBLY cost $5.25 to make a burger and fries. Just like Bob does, he had a real problem understanding costs not directly related to buying raw materials - shipping costs, insurance, labor, etc. exist and have to be paid.

For a brief time, both he and I worked in a receiving capacity at a grocery retailer where we had to check that stuff coming off the truck matched what we were expecting in the delivery.

We both had computer printout sheets in hand that listed each item's wholesale cost (what the store was buying it for) and retail cost (what the store was selling it for) the margin on each item (difference in wholesale to retail) was consistent throughout the orders. If it was selling for $800, it was because it was costing us $750 to buy, if it sold for $4, it cost us $3.50. Very rarely, you'd get something that cost us 80 cents but could retail for $4, but these were 1 in 50 items.

Naturally, he would gripe about the costs of everything and how the store was "ripping people off" - he had the numbers RIGHT IN FRONT OF HIM that they were only making anywhere from a couple bucks to a couple cents in profit per item, and still chose to believe the Junior Commie Manifesto that prices are completely arbitrary and made up.

People like that like to gripe about the world because they feel angry and things should change NOW. Like Bob. A big Mac should be cheap because it affects him, not because the market is or isn't allowing for it. Pure selfishness.
