Peter Coffin joins the "I don't unite with people who hate me" convo (29May#01) and real-talks Bobby.
Bob has a unique talent for being so insufferable and obnoxious that he makes even other lolcows that come into contact with him seem considerably saner and more well adjusted. Peter Coffin kicked himself in the balls on national TV, and yet he still comes off as the more reasonable of the two when he correctly calls out Bob for not having gotten beyond his schoolyard bullies. The amount of deflection that Bob tries to pull with his "uh, we weren't talking about school, I dunno what you're saying" act proves he hit close to home.

We see a repeat of his deflection-through-condescension here when he mocks the commie for calling out his genocidal tendencies. And then the stupid reply guy that Bob retweeted tries to run interference by claiming that Bob only wants you to not associate with anyone on the right...except literally every other time that Bob says he wants conservatives gone shows how much of a lie that is. Sure, he'll couch it in words that avoid the banhammer ("I want them to stop existing...use your imagination
"), but anyone who's taken a cursory glance at his feed knows he would be gunning them down by the thousands if he could get away with it.

Despite supposedly having allowed a significant number of Black people to chase their dreams, start families, start businesses etc, Black people themselves seem oblivious to Uncle Joe's unbounded benevolence.
Do these people think that the Thirteenth Amendment is just going to up and disappear suddenly? I would be focused on more tangible concerns, like being able to afford food and rent, keeping a job, and (if you live in a city) not being mugged or killed at random.

Literally what I said the other day with regards to how shitty the box office has been this year (minus the whole blaming capitalism part, fucking retarded troon). People are being a lot more picky about how they spend what little disposable income they have, and going to a theater is an expensive proposition. Bob retweeted some idiot blaming the poor performance on the lack of capeshit like a gotcha, and now here he is retweeting a troon saying the opposite. He won't see the contradiction, of course.

George might be fat and lazy and still hasn't gotten around to finishing his supposed magnum opus, but it's pretty obvious to me that he's not using this interview as an excuse to change stuff in his books that will probably never see the light of day. He's just giving his (correct) opinion on Hollywood hack frauds implying they can do better than the source material they're adapting.
I watched PointlessHub's video on 300 the other night. Say what you will about Zack Snyder, he cared so much about doing the source material justice that it's practically a one-to-one adaptation, with scenes and shot composition lifted directly from panels of the comic. He didn't try to improve upon it, he just wanted to bring that story to life on the big screen. (I know that he then made the infamous decision to remove the squid from Watchmen, but one could argue that pinning the blame on Dr. Manhattan makes more sense. But that's a whole other discussion.)
I get that sometimes things will be lost in translation from one form of media to another, but contrast that with modern screenwriters who fuck up stories for no reason other than to leave their mark. Cutting Tom Bombadil from the LotR movies because he derails the forward momentum of the overall plot for what would be a good 10 or 15 minutes or so is one thing, but making Galadriel into a girlboss in the Amazon show is something altogether different.

And speaking of, of course Bob is willing to run cover for them by saying it was actually genius storytelling to have one of the wisest and noblest elves be rewritten as a stupid retarded asshole. "Duh, that's called a
character arc, maybe learn about screenwriting, subhumanoids." Except we all know that girlbosses don't have arcs beyond "the power was inside you all along, you just needed to stop listening to
men holding you back."
