Every time I see somebody call Sentry "Marvel's Superman" I die a little inside. I think being aware of Marvelman/Miracleman is 101 stuff if you're going to pretend to be somebody who's read comics. It hasn't gotten a movie or anything like Watchmen but still one of the Alan Moore classics people always bring up. The Sentry is inspired by him and by extension, loosely the original Captain Marvel, and not Superman.

Last time I checked the rights on Marvelman were such a mess they couldn't even reprint the comics, let alone make anything else out of it like a movie. Not that that should stop anyone from reading it. Of course, Bob wouldn't bother seeking something like that out. I can only wonder how cringe he would be analyzing the Kid Miracleman story arc. "I liked Miracleman until they killed my favorite hero, Kid Miracleman, who should have been the main character of the series."

Nuzlocking a Pokémon game requires time, effort, and patience. You have to be willing to put in some research (unless you're going in blind), carefully train your team, and accept the losses as they come. Bob cannot do any of that. He simply doesn't have the mental capacity or emotional maturity.
Which is hilarious, since Pokémon has consistently played second fiddle to Bing Bing Wahoo. To this day, Mario remains Nintendo's bread-and-butter.

Bob was also like 18 when Pokemon hit the US in 1998, he was out of the franchise's target demo of kids ten years his junior. That said, his initial resentment and continued ignorance towards the franchise is still retarded considering A: Pokemon's success helped keep Nintendo financially stable when the N64 was getting raped by the PlayStation and B: It's always been treated as second-party series by Nintendo since it's still primarily owned by Game Freak. Nintendo always prioritized their first party games (Mario, Zelda) over it, because they owned them wholesale.

They currently have Gaiman writing some new mini-series to continue it but I haven't really looked at it. Either way, Sentry's mostly the same premise as Miracleman but done in the Marvel universe and without the red tape. An amnesiac who discovers he used to be the greatest hero the world's forgotten, born of shady government projects and struggling with his humanity slipping away. They've done a few Superman references with him but anyone who equates the two is just going off "Has a cape" and little else.
