I know I'm late on this, but Bob's anime simile is even dumber because sports animes almost never deal with morality. Opponents are often shown to be assholes, but the conflict doesn't come from a good protagonist against an evil rival team. The conflict comes from characters trying to overcome their own limitations and give their all to win a competition. Bob needs to stay in his lane and stick to Marvel and Mario references. Trying to reach outside of his comfort zone only ever exposes his universal ignorance.

At one point Cassie thinks Scott is kinda a fuck up, and Scott calls Tony Stark to try and show off his Avengers cred to get them transport.

After he tells this to Tony, Tony asks him if he's close to his daughter, leading Scott to go ballistic, saying that Tony had no right to criticize his parenting and he proceeds to tell Tony (a recovering alcoholic) that everyone liked him better when he was drinking.

And then Tony clarifies he meant physically close before teleporting the two of them.

Many of the facial expressions are so over-the-top that they resemble a chimpanzee attempting to placate an aggressive higher-ranking chimp to prevent having to duke it out. It's the outrageousness of the expressions that quite frankly jump right out of the Uncanny Valley and straight into downright horrifying. Anyone with any brains knows this isn't a person showing joy.
