It's widely known that Bob's research into taking a COVID-19 vaccine extended only as deeply as to who was going to be in the White House when it became widely available. Bob was an ardent anti-vaxxer when Trump was in office; once Fuckwit in Chief Biden took over, Bob was eager to get the jab.
