I believe there was even one where he was sentenced to death, was sent to the chair, and then came back afterwards with the claim he had "served his sentence."1. It's canon that Joker keeps getting acquitted for several reasons; most notably bribing Judges to find him insane, having an army of amoral shrinks and lawyers on retainer to push for him being found not guilty by reason of insanity, a good number of Gothamites who secretly idolize Joker like he's John fucking Galt, and people voting "not guilty by reason of insanity because Joker will straight up disfigure/maim/murder you if you try and send him to prison.
But then in some stories Joker is aware he's in a comic and is too popular to be killed off. Comics are silly and weird with a wide array of writers doing a wide array of things - the question is not whether something was done but whether the story "sticks" in continuity and really changes things. (And yes I rated your post as autistic knowing full well my post is just as bad, i acknowledge that I'm something of a spergy dork myself.)
I think it was Chris Gore who in his review for the film said "this shouldn't be political!"
But then we have reached the point now where politics has become so insane, they're now in favor of baby murder to own the conservatives.
