Give me ten minutes and I can have for you dozen sermons from orthodox to catholic to baptist critiquing Abraham. I'll admit, I wasn't thrilled about some of those metaphorical plotlines, although I did like some of them. But with modern "woke" politics, this is not allowed. It has to directly reference an actual real world thing, and it has to thoroughly state what the "correct" position on it is. It really has to hammer home, "This is the issue, and this is what you must think about it."

This is why one of the jokes going around about comics is that they'll give great political points to, say, the Red Skull when they don't agree with them and want to discredit them. Which ends up making the villains sound more reasonable than the heroes.
