There wouldn't be a legal battle for the same reason Bob lives at home: He has no money. No lawyer would take this case for free because there's no incentive. If this seems out of left field for Bob, note that he's only bringing up this company because of this Vulture article posted yesterday where it was mentioned. The tl;dr is basically "Rotten Tomatoes bad." The company said they didn't pay for good reviews, but of course they would.

Some of the commenters pointed out how much of a nothing story this is, though. While it is stupid whenever Hollywood execs base decisions on RT scores, they only provide that single example of paid influence, and RT cleared off those reviews. More stupidly, they gloss over how audience reviews have been changed to benefit studios, blaming sexists for review-bombing Captain Marvel (gotta keep deepthroating the Rat, after all).

Perhaps most importantly was how they stated a third of moviegoers check RT scores before they go to a movie, like that's a big deal...except that means that two-thirds do not do that. So a supermajority of moviegoing audiences don't even think about Rotten Tomatoes, and that means we're supposed to care about its integrity? Why does Hollywood even give a fuck, then?
