He won't hold onto it. He'll live it up to try and bury the sadness that is being Bob Chipman and run out of money almost immediately.I feel like most Internet arguments with Hobo Bob can be settled just by posting this picture of him from @Koby_Fish of him in his Mom's house with his hobo outfit and grooming habits. I think Bob might avoid becoming an actual Hobo in his old age, but it isn't impossible. Depends on what he inherits and how well he holds on to it.
His homelessness is less "Can Bob hold onto property" and more "How long will Chris and his sister help him before they get sick of his shit?" The smart thing would be to use the inheritance to buy an apartment somewhere cheap like Georgia, stick Bob there, shove the rest into a trust fund for taxes, and then try to forget he exists. But for some reason Chris actually likes his brother so most likely he and sis will keep the house so Bob can live and eventually die there until the taxman comes to take it from Bob, and then Bob will end up a corpse his niece and/or nephew one day find rotting in their basement.
There wouldn't be a legal battle for the same reason Bob lives at home: He has no money. No lawyer would take this case for free because there's no incentive. Assuming Bob can find someone who'll take the case pro bono, what would they get out of it in the end? The name Moviebob means jack shit. It's not even worth the money to pay for the Moviebob trademark for the joke because even if you set up a joke channel, you probably wouldn't make a penny off of it.Not only that but he's also been claiming people have been infringing on his trademark and/or copyright for just as long. I checked and he has exactly zero of either. Him posting his online moniker with a year behind it does not a copyright make. If you wanted you could troll Bob by filing a copyright and/or trademark on things like The Big Picture or Moviebob Central and Bob would have to fight it because despite doing this since January of 2005, almost 20 years ago, he has done nothing to secure his any part or facet of his IP. This is a stupid idea because no one should risk a legal battle with Bob over a joke.
