He only got 300 blockbuster bux if he maxed out his hours? Damn. Yeah, he got that Xbox gifted.only thing I can think of is the format wars back then. I think Xbox played HD-DVDs. So maybe he assumed HD DVD was going to be the future and threw his money into that, thinking getting an Xbox would be better than just a regular player, and decided Blu-rays would go the way of Laser Disc and Beta, so he scoffed at the PS3.
Also, because it occurred to me, I checked the minimum wage in Boston. Back then it was $7.50 an hour. That means if Bob worked 40 hours, he'd only have $300. And we know he never saved any money, he spent whatever he had, so he wouldn't have been able to afford the Xbox even if he wanted one. So yeah, him getting a hand me down from his little brother seems like the more plausible scenario.
Also yes, sadly Xbox went with HD DVD. Sucks because you can't play shit on it without a special module, and Blu ray won because Sony could market it better
I actually have dead or Alive 3 for the OG Xbox. Peak gameplay and sexy lol. Need the sports games. But let's be real, he got it for Bayonetta.

A blast of a game btw lol. Xbox One X actually got a enhanced version that got it running at full 4k, 60 fps and I own that, and it's glorious.
I'm most surprised about Bob caring about stinky gamers, then I see he's talking about the devs. Everything goes back to the stupid Hollywood strike.Unity Engine is slated to impose a per-install fee to game devs. Curiously Bobby is thinking the same thing as the denizens of our A&N thread.
