I like some of the Drinkers work, and there is some I don't. But holy shit, is this guy vapid. Paragraphs upon paragraphs, to just say he thinks the Drinker is a dumb and grifting his audience, The amount of thesaurus abuse alone will probably get adapted into a Lifetime drama. TCD has a very simple strategy, review "guy" movies, review them as a "regular" guy, for the general audience. That's it, anyone can do it. The rant about an audience's relationship with an entertainer being transactional is mind blowing. Of course it is! Given Moviebob lives is Massachusetts, the rent's got to be expensive, along with utilities. Then there's food and beer expenses. Then Bob's got to making some rather astronomical payments on an electric vehicle that probably does more harm to the enviroment than the worst of gas guzzlers could ever be. I can only make an admittedly baseless speculation regarding Bob's budget here, but $3,500 minus all potential expenses... I'd be surprised if Moviebob's got 500 dollars' worth of spare money per month, at most. Again, I'm only speculating.
