For context, seems like the Scott Pilgrim animation on netflix pulled a "He-man", and made the show to be about the female lead, Ramona Flowers, instead of the titular character, who "dies" in the first episode.

I've seen some bitching around it, but the backlash isn't nowhere near as bad as the He-man one. Personally, I couldn't care less, since I don't like Scott Pilgrim.

But this shit Robert spews "oh, it takes 'cojones' to prank your audience like that". No it fucking doesn't, more so when Netflix already paid the creator Bryan lee O'malley and the studio in advance to produce it. If they tried to sell the show with the name "Ramona Flowers takes over", then that would take balls, and a "no" from the publisher.

But hey didn't, they relied on the name recognition to get the money, and they thought themselves to be clever boys and girls when they went to pull the rug.

To be fair, from what I've read, seems like the show isn't quite a adaptation of the comics, but acts more like a sequel. Which is fine, whatever, but that is not how it was sold.

But here is the thing, if you wanna prank and pull the rug under people's feet, you don't get the right to be upset when people call you on your bullshit,.
