I'm going to explain this slowly, with small words, so even an idiot like Elizabeth Warren (or Robert) could understand.

Inflation- the devaluation of currency- affects everyone, even big companies. The only way to fight inflation (short of burning the Federal Reserve Bank down) is to maximize the amount of money coming in, and minimizing the amount of money being spend. Corporations are just in a better position to fight it.

Let's say KiwiCorp spends $10 to make 10 widgets. We sell our widgets in bags of 10 for $10. This means our income per widget is equal to the cost- we break even.

Now inflation comes along. It now costs us $20 to make 10 widgets. We have the following choices:

1. We continue to sell for $10, operating at a $10 loss and eventually going out of business
2. We jack up the price to $20, losing customers because they're unwilling or unable to pay $20
3. We sell 5 widgets for $10, engaging in so-called shrinkflation

We choose option 3. It's the only realistic option, especially if the material costs are inelastic (i.e., we can't use less material or cheaper material to make our widgets). If we choose option 1, we either run out of money and go bankrupt, or Big Brother government bails us out by printing more money, making inflation even worse.

The only true, permanent solution to inflation is to destroy the Federal Reserve, return to the gold standard, and harshly punish (((anyone))) who advocates or is caught debasing the currency.
