It might have been. As soon as the video came out, he was mocked because funnily enough, Escapist is a gaming website and most gamers have played Halo. He was immediately called out for how stupid he was being and to this day it remains one of the dumbest pieces he's ever put together.

I think there is more to it than that. Back in the old website he put together as a teenager, he mentioned liking plenty of FPS game. I often theorized that the real reason why he hates FPS games so much is that they eventually jumped from being solely PC exclusives and started to really dominate their share of the console market.

This is a wonderful watch. Right off the bat he tells you that he doesn't hate FPS games he just dislikes them but not as much as real sports games.
