Godzilla Minus One dealt with heavy themes, such as finding a way to rebuild after devastating loss, struggling with PTSD and coping with being the cause of multiple deaths, and having the courage to make the ultimate sacrifice when the time comes. It managed to weave all these themes through a big monster movie and did so excellently.

Godzilla x Kong's "smart" themes, according to Bob, are "bullies are bad" and "brush your teeth."
