Yes, The Killing Joke is not a good cartoon. However, I feel that Bob wrote a review of a cartoon he claimed not to have seen because he hates dark Batman comics. (Even though Batman comics have been dark since I was a child in the 70s). He managed to get in digs at Batman v. Superman, The Dark Knight Returns, The Death and Return of Superman and Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker. Then he talked about how superior Marvel movies are. (Of course, in other places he's stated how much he hated the Daredevil TV show on Netflix, but he likes the Disneyfied Marvel).

LMAO I've only seen this commercial in one other place, Bob's Really That Good for Die Hard. You see, you cannot understand why Die Hard is so impactful and Really That Good (tm) without understanding Regan and even though Really That Good is not a political show, Bob says that at 12:50, he still has to explain the politics of the 80's.

I was kinda impressed how easy Bob was going on Regan until he questioned how committed Regan was to "his own far-right principles". That made me smile and made me feel like I was back home again. I'm gonna do my best to paraphrase Bob's thesis and by best I mean take what I remember from memory, what I could be bothered to rewatch and guess the rest because it's Bob. Die Hard is a good movie because "is soaking in the savory remoulade of reagan-era return of the real American hero". It's Christmas but it's warm and not snowing because it's in LA which makes you feel like you're in the upside down and Bob says this because he only knows Boston. LA is not Regan's vision for America and that's why John and you the viewer of the 80's are disgusted by it. That's why the movie is Really That Good because it's not just an exceptional movie with great direction, script, acting, cinematography, pacing, and an everyman lead who goes through real trials and tribulations and gets the shit kicked out of him.
