This was the kind of stuff they pointed out in the Plinkett Reviews. For example, in Star Wars Obi Wan finds some stuff on the Millenium Falcon to improvise training for Luke (a training drone and an old helmet that will cutoff his vision). Then in one of the prequels, they show that improvised equipment as standard issue youngling training equipment.

I just can't get over the sheer degeneracy of this man, who regularly posts about wanting to murder half the country, getting all weepy and going into an existential panic over seeing a fucking Emoji toy getting crushed in a hydraulic press because it has fake googly eyes.

Originally the black clothes Luke wears in ROTJ supposedly were the traditional "uniform" of the Jedi. Which is one of those things you wish we could see in the prequels because Ewan and Liam decked out in black "we are here to kick ass" clothes would be pretty dope.

I do still have an old SW encyclopedia which states that the original difference between a jedi knight and Master is that the master has abandoned the lightsaber and relys completely on the Force.

I'm not really sure if that counts; it's common to sci-fi in general, but I chalk this up to just making it easier and more interesting to the audience.

Humans are expected to be complex - having multiple alien species who also all act differently and can't be simplified to "very rational, very greedy, very warlike", etc, sort of makes it pointless outside of window dressing. You also wouldn't have those allegorical stories without entire species that are hardwired a certain way, like that episode where Riker falls in love with the agender chick.
