Trump: "We have to make life good for smart people, and [Elon Musk] is as smart as you get".
Someone brought this up in the US Politics thread, but Appalachia is perhaps the region of the country hardest hit by the government policies of the last fifty years (or more): predominantly poor rural whites who have seen their opportunities dry up because globalization policies moved industry overseas and hollowed out their communities. The opioid epidemic was especially strong there, and many have died in destitution and despair because the government won't do anything to actually reverse the issues caused by mines and factories (the only stable source of employment) shutting down, just throwing some aid at them and calling it a day.
And here comes Bob, the fat sack of shit whose existence has been entirely subsidized by other morons, saying that they had it
too good.
Respectfully, Bob: go fuck yourself. Same with the meth-addled pooner that's so scared of the tranny genocide that isn't happening (but man, it sure gets hard not to wish it would).

Dr. Robert Lewis Chipman, world expert in childhood gender confusion.
Plenty of studies have shown that the overwhelming majority of children who have some level of gender dysphoria outgrow it by the time they reach adulthood, showing that there is indeed no reason to harm them for life through chemical castration. These children apparently do not exist in Bob's universe.

When people say America has a masculinity crisis, believe them.

It is not that men cannot express strong emotions; it is not that men are not supposed to cry. But the emotions should be
appropriate. An adult, even a woman, crying over a Toys R Us commercial or a yellow jumpsuit should be ridiculed in public.
I don't have a problem with crying over something fictional. I rewatch the LotR trilogy every year, and I tear up multiple times throughout the movies (and turn into a blubbering mess when Into the West starts playing over the RotK end credits). But I only cry because those scenes are crafted to convey powerful emotion well. Sobbing just because you saw Hugh Jackman wearing a particular costume is flat-out pathetic. I don't care if it actually does resonate with you for some reason, you should feel ashamed that you're affected by a fucking yellow jumpsuit.

Ignore all George results.

I hope that person knows
The Name Of The Rose is a work of fiction, brilliant fiction, but it was written with Eco's semiotic agenda in mind so investigation has to be the plot point.
Setting aside Bob's midwit take ("hurrhurr cops and priests are bad"), those two Lucas quotes aren't contradictory. Jedi are acting as officers of the peace--y'know, cops. They'd prefer not to use violence, but they will if they have to. Also, y'know, it's a Star Wars movie, so of course there's gonna be lightsaber fights and such because Lucas loves that stuff. That doesn't mean that the Jedi can't be characterized as wanting to avoid fighting as much as possible. That Mason idiot is fucking retarded.

When America is supposedly on the verge of a fascist dictatorship, some citizens have a deeper concern:

Is James Gunn's
Peacemaker an example of "auteurist" delusion?
I can't remember what thread I read it in, but someone on the farms mentioned how the latest WGA contract basically screwed them out of producing longer-running shows by requiring more and higher-paid writers as a show gets more episodes and more seasons. If you can't make the costs back of mandatory required staff hires, then nobody's going to keep a show running for long.
Besides, I and many other fans waited years between Venture Bros. seasons, and it was worth the wait every time. There's a plethora of entertainment out there from countless sources. As long as the quality remains consistent, let a show take as long as it needs. You're spoiled for choice in the meantime.

Bob, expert sex-haver, can tell you which women would fuck you senseless based on their haircut.
As a reminder, Bob was in the single digits in age for the entirety of the 80s. Bob
definitely knew about sex and isn't just making shit up again.
