This is actually an interesting aspect of human sexuality that's becoming more common, or at least more obvious in the internet age. In high school, girls start gaining an attraction to other women and in a safe environment, come out as bi or lesbian, or wait until college to start dating and sleeping with women. However, as they get older, they start to grow out of it. Several admitting that by 30, they've become 'less bi' or completely straight.

The earliest example was Erika Moen, who made the webcomic Dar, which featured her confusing journey into straightness as she met a British man at 21 and started a fling, that led to a long distance relationship, that led to marriage. Over time she lost interest in women and even started dressing in a more feminine way. Another webcomic example was Megan Rose Gedris, who did Yu + Me Dream, about coming out as a lesbian at 16. She eventually did a comic for Moen's sex ed series talking about getting herself sterilized so she'd never get pregnant, despite being famous for being a lesbian.
