Bob frequently uses the "California grows all our food!" gotcha whenever agriculture is brought up. Of course, Bob is really only going by the total value of what's grown, which means that states that grow a lot of expensive crops will end up skewing their overall total, while those that tend to produce cheaper staples will be lower in the rankings, even if they're producing a lot themselves. Guess what California produces a lot of? That's right, expensive crops like almonds!

Now, I'm not about to cheerlead for these farmers blindly, considering how there are a lot of resources going into producing these nuts and other cash cow crops that might be better used elsewhere. But if the state itself had better water management as a whole (as the voters wanted them to do, repeatedly), it probably wouldn't be as big of an issue.

But of course, Bobby will blindly hate on the backwards hick farmers for demanding their government do what they're told...while simultaneously holding them up as the reason that California is so much more important than the entire rest of the country. He is just so fucking stupid.
