Who would have been able to guess that having a third world Communist country as a major labor pool would result in your country developing the same problems that a third world Communist country has? The Coronovirus is a watershed moment. It's not some oopsie that can be swept aside within a few months so that China's huge maw can start spewing out inexpensive plastic tchotchkies again. It's a sign that the Globalist experiment has failed. That a world without borders cannot exist unless a large amount of its GDP gets funneled towards a healthcare system that can handle the regular importation of superbugs. Once this plague is over, large parts of the world's economy will be bruised and broken, as people who had to take a month (or more) off to quarantine will have to deal with the loss of a substantial amount of income and/or business. There's no plowing ahead with the globalist experiment after this. There will be a lot of angry Americans who will need jobs and aid, and they'll have very little patience for a corpulent shill who thinks they should all be thrown to the dogs so that his beloved Third World dopamine machine can once again fire up and start generating his cheap consoomables.
I hate to waste my precious righteous indignation on Bob, or feel anything opportunistic about the world's current circumstances, but it's going to be damn satisfying to see MovieBob's rapacious dreams for a globalist superior future going down in flames...

This is a quintessential Bob take on the economy. Bob sees a trade war developing, ignores the very real pain it would cause American workers, and airily hand-waves it away with "Desperate times and all that". It's hugely reminiscent of American commies similarly hand-waving away the Soviet gulag system and Stalinism as "Sometimes you have to break a few eggs to make an omelet." Note also the date. The economy was roaring along in May 2018. The economy would continue going gangbusters until a Black Swan event hit. Looks like the "dumbfucks" chose the correct path, and no one came close to "kicking our economy in the balls".

Considering he’s tepid with streaming, I could imagine he’ll whine about being bored there’s no Marvel movies since a year and a half now it’s more likely Black Widow gets pushed back to November and have Eternals pushed back to 2021. I think Bob's too irrelevant to cancel. Most of the rest of the indie hipster clique ignores him after he got fired from the Escapist the first time, and the only people who cared enough about him to give him a platform post-firing he's either burned bridges with (such as Devin Faraci of Birth.Movies.Death, by making his one and only submission post-firing a tantrum about GamerGate, and Geek.com hasn't been hosting his videos in almost a year), or they all but left the industry after crossing Zoe Quinn, as is the case with Susan Arendt and her husband, Russ Pitts. His username mentions on twitter seem mostly split between dirtbag left teenage boys praising him and anime avatars/anonymous accounts mocking him. He doesn't have anything to motivate a canceling beyond being cringe. He isn't famous/rich enough for the one who canceled him to benefit from it, nor does he have the influence for anyone to think he's enough of a menace that he must be canceled for the public good.

And that take. People being angry that superhero movies were too stripped down and realistic? When? When has that ever been a major thing? Tim Burton's Batman? Christopher Reeve's Superman? The first two X-Men movies? He uses Batman Begins of all things as an example, when that movie was a extremely well received and considered a huge improvement over the previous, much less realistic entry in the franchise.
