I'm sorry, no.
No person who fought for this country should ever be called a man child.

What 'bout Chris?

Or did I just dig myself into a hole?

Bob was an old man who liked his jazz, swing and Big band and went out to his swing chair. My own nana used to do the same thing while knitting. Your topic is dumb. :geek:

Holy shit, maybe he was also an ABDL??? I'm just asking questions here.

If chris was my son I'd be in the greenhouse,on my swing, smoking crack.
Didn't know you hailed from Ontario.

Anyway, shitty thread aside, did you ever question the feasibility of an 80-year-old senior citizen playing on a child's swingset?

seeing as this is a thread, i'll say "no"

Bob doesn't strike me as a manchild. He likely only did stuff that would be uncommon for his age (even then he used to do a lot of stuff that would be expected from people in his age), because, he was very old and spending time with his family wasn't something that I would expect him to do, not because he was a shitty family man, but because of, well, his family itself.

Do we have any photos of the alleged swing? how do we know it wasn't a weather weapon? Folks these Chandlers are not to be trusted!

I don't know why people on this board are so quick to jump onto attacking people. Bob raised three children, had a good career, and saved up enough for retirement. (Even if it was a rather shitty retirement) So what if he liked to play video games? There are definitely people on this board who will be playing video games forever. And even if he liked to swing on a swingset and not a porch swing, I wouldn't hold it against him. People like to do silly things sometimes. Now I in no way think that Bob was perfect, but accusing him of being a manchild is just really searching.

Nah I meant metaphorically given the context.

But can we call him a manchild or not?

I guess this topic was kinda silly, looking back 10 hours later. I actually had one more comparison to make, but if you think talking about swings and Nintendo systems for 80 year old men was grasping for straws, this last comparison would have been retarded.

Bob didn't put on a beanie with a fan on the top and suck his thumb as he autisticly rocked back and forth upon his hugbox swing. He played Vidya cause he was an engineer with a sharp mind and would have probably been all about coding and shit if he was born nowadays. You are looking at this way too literal. Ever hear the old stereotype about old people and rocking chairs on the front porch, same deal.

Bob loved technology so him liking vidya is nothing weird. The idea of an old man on a swinging chair, listening to music, playing NES and tending his garden is fairly sweet, especially compared to the other residents OPL and his vidya and Barb and the hoard.

Bob seems like a cool guy. He loved travelling and music and seemed to have a really keen mind. He also served his country so fair play to him.
I'm fairly dubious about claims he was in the Klan as he seemed to be saying how scary seeing burning crosses was.
But yeah, not a manchild. Just an old dude with a crazy wife and son.
