So I was watching 50 First Dates for the tenth time (Adam sandler is so good~) And I had this idea for a book...
So in the book basically, a guy wants this girl, but she doesn't want him, so he kidnaps her and then the very next day he tries to convince her that she has amnesia every day just like the movie, and at first its difficult, but eventually she decides to play along with it and then things get stockholm syndromy and they actually fall in love and she decides to declare her love and lack of amnesia to him

What u guys think?

Sounds kind of interesting, but romance novels aren't really my thing. I think I'll pass on this one.
 
This story would work better with a tragic and downer ending. It may sound edgy, but a story with that premise can't end well. An ending that reflects that relationships are not idealistic fairytales like are shown on shitty romantic comedies could work really well

Agreed. I think it would work better if she strung him along and eventually turned on him or something. Or gaslighted him into trooning out.
 
Ok so instead she uses her position to blackmail him into being her servant and he gets cucked
The only problem is that in theory he could murder her and the whole family to hide the evidence

I'd suggest you read the play Gas Light to help you play up the psychological aspect (yes, the pun was intentional.)
 
That sounds like a horror story. Also should this just be a general book idea thread so it doesn't end on page 1?
