One thing I’ve noticed is Boomers getting dementia/Alzheimer’s really early, at least compared to earlier generations.

I’m seeing boomers who just barely turned 70 getting struck with dementia. For reference, my two greatest gen grandmothers didn’t start having dementia until they were 83-85.

Yet, he will listen to the most blatant AI garbage videos on Youtube and take them as gospel, especially if it aligns with right-wing rhetoric or sucks Trump's cock. I foolishly tried mentioning once Trump's hiring of Indians, which he's aware of, and that went as well as you'd imagine.
My grandmother listens to more AI and short form videos than any child that I know of. Drives me crazy to hear her watching them. And believing every word that they say.

I’m tired of boomers complaining about the amount of things/food that their adult children or grandchildren have in their homes, while they keep entire spare bedrooms kept full of junk, and stock enough expired food to supply a Cold War bunker.
And pray to God to spare you the wrath if you touch something of theirs’.
Until they’re dead, and then the rest of the family tosses most of it into the dump. Which they either refuse to think about, or are just oblivious to it.

I've totally noticed it. Like ¾s of the ones in their 60s have short term memory loss, difficulty typing and staying on topic in texts/emails, trail off, ignore things people say completely, use incorrect names and labels. On one hand I wonder if this is their unchecked narcissism. On the other hand sometimes I'm like whoa are we entering dementia territory. It may be a bit of both, but it is concerning. You imagine you will deal with demented parents in your 50s not 30s. It's certainly a concern of mine and I'm not sure how to deal with it because boomers also refuse to acknowledge mental problems.

So I live in a pretty rural area, people greet each when we run into each other, especially when out hiking, at the park, in public offices etc. This works pretty well, everyone is polite or even friendly. Except one group. The only group of people who has members being unable to say hello back is boomers. This makes me unreasonably angry. Sometimes I even meet grandparents out with their grandkids - I say hello to them - the kids say hello back, the grandparents just stare at me or do their best to look away. It's so weird and awkward.

And weird boomer anecdote. So the mother of a friend of mine owns a very nice and large apartment, multiple bedrooms, way too big for her ever since the kids left and her husband died. My friend owns his own apartment nearby, but ever since kid 2 it became a little crowded. Naturally, one might think they could come to some sort of arrangement. Well, turns out, they can't. His mother sold her apartment but still wants to live there so she rents it from the buyer, and she spent most of the sale money on various nigger children charities. How did she even get that idea. Who does something like that. Can someone explain this to me? It just all seems so retarded.

Our family went through that with Late Silent Gen parents. They weren't hoarders by any means but they just couldn't bring themselves to throw anything away. We could have almost furnished two homes with all the crap they had.

Was an eye opener seeing what the commercial refuse haulers will and will not accept so that was a no go. Wasn't even a price issue either. Places like Goodwill were almost useless too because you could see their 40ft dumpster overflowing with junk. Also looked up registered charities who might haul away some fairly nice furniture and give it to a poor nigra'. Some of those chiselers were wanting something in the range of $50-$75 to carry each piece onto a truck and that was a price problem.

Tried to be a good citizen and donate but most of it ended up on the curb for city bulk trash pickup or whatever scavengers rolled by with a pickup truck.

My boomer parents, especially my father, HATES Pajeets, and anyone remotely brown looking. I have to hear his weekly rant on them calling him on his landline phone that he refuses to stop paying for while also refusing to block any numbers.
My dad would give them something like "I have no idea what the fuck you just said give me someone who can speak English."

TV. It's always TV, she probably saw someone talking about these charities or saw a news report about some other boomer who donated everything to charity and decided to do it too.

its election season and the letter to the editor section of my local newspaper is full of histrionic boomerlibs flailing in anger
because they want to know "why is every political ad mudslinging???? omg why cant reTHUGlicans and MAGA NAZIS just be nice?????? :(:("

boomers simultaneously have no idea why political polarization and rhetoric is where its at but also mindlessly engage in it all while
wishing it were the good ol days of reagan and clinton (ignore the amount of mudslinging and shittalking back then and even before, see the daisy ad from the 64 election)

boomers dont want to believe shit is as bad as it is when it comes to polarization, they can't fucking fathom why people would be upset or care about anything.
Indolent, oblivious, ignorant. They desperately want "decorum" and "politeness" back but of course Trump is the only politician ever who was crass and has
singlehandedly destroyed decorum and polite discourse.

The generation that says you need to do 5000% more than they did to achieve 50% of what they got is the same one that put forward 0% effort
to solve the issues that have fomented this current divisiveness.

GOD.

My theory on this is that they just don't use their minds. They sit and rot in front of the TV and have been doing it for the past 40 years. Once you remove a normal day job they don't do anything. No hobbies, no books, no new skills or challenges. Just sitting and doing the same thing they always did, listening to the same old stuff, just consuming without effort.

boomers have very low distress tolerance. It's why they're prone to histrionic fits over mild inconveniences and other unchecked narcissistic actions.

it's also the reason why they fall victim to scams and get took for so much, and many other of their negative traits.

3 boomer rants

Just got back from vacation and by God. The boomers have highjacked everything. The only people really able to afford to go on vacation or travel the airport is now a nursing home in the sky. And cruises more so. Move your fucking ass you slow retard or die already I am trying to check in. Being the largest age group I have no doubt that stairs themselves will be banned in 10 years due to being inaccessible to boomers. Maybe it will be boomers getting their cars taken away that will finally make texas city planning walkable somewhat but that’s optimistic. And it will be funny watching the vacation industry collapse without them. Right now they are still thriving to the point that vacation planners are basically just people you pay to help walk you through how to sign up for a website.

Also. Lesser known boomer stereotype. Their utter value for empty cardboard boxes. The obvious plague of hoarding has been rebranded specifically for them to a much more palatable “Diogenes syndrome” My theory is that to the hyper materialistic mind of a boomer if a box is empty and holds nothing, it could eventually be filled with anything, making the potential value of said tripped open amazon box priceless.

My grandfather (greatest generation chad) had some money left over when he died. And I watched as a grieving child encountering the death of what at the time was my best friend while his other grandchildren (late boomer/early genX) literally conspire to screw their lifelong sister out of her inheritance of 10k. What happened? They got away with it. And don’t talk to their sister anymore. Recently my aunt (youngest of 5 boomer sisters) started coming to my mom for money. Was it “hey I’m having financial trouble, you are my family, please help” no. It was “you OWE me this. Our father would have wanted this” we’re going to see more of this as the less wealthy boomers age and SS is no longer enough they will eat each other. Probably a lot of divorces very late in life will happen. I have half siblings (late Gen X) and when my parents pass I’m terrified they will play this stupid game of picking over the remains of my boomer parents. I doubt I will have much. They will call me a liar and just like that I will lose more than just my parents. My plan is if their McMansion survives renovate it and turn it into a generational house. Have lots of white children. And my siblings won’t get more than what my parents give them but they will always have a bed at the house if they want to stay as long as they want rent free. (Just contribute to utilities)

Oh 4th rant. The amount of childlike vanity arguments I’ve seen boomer couples have. They sound like highschoolers!y mother didn’t go to her 50th highschool reunion “because she got fat” she’s in her 70s it’s the last chance she has to meet these people! She was super excited and bailed at the last moment. Acting like she can’t go to prom because she isn’t popular. Idk genX has this problem too. Theyre like 60 and think they will turn into walker tx ranger if someone pulls a gun on them.

This last one is my favorite because no one thinks people who lived through the great depression had it easy, they think boomers had it easy (cause they did), which begs the question is this just deflection or do boomers legit not realize that they are the old people now?
