Cable TV might be the biggest scam on boomers I’ve seen and they tried to pull the same shit, to no avail, with younger generations with numerous streaming platforms. I bet the average boomer forked over $10,000 per person on cable. Imagine stashing that in an S&P500 fund. It would’ve paid for their kids college plus an inheritance at the end, just for them mostly watching the local news anyway. Not too bright, those boomers.

This reminds me of Boomer relatives would talk over me constantly when I was young (and almost always when I started talking after some silence), and those who are still alive since that time still do it when I'm in my mid 20's. Boomers have been moving rural en masse, because their initial retirement plan of Florida isn't working since too many of them did it and now Florida isn't cheap anymore.

As to where they are coming from- grew up in/near suburbs that went from being mostly boomer to like 60% pajeet/mexican/arab in the last 15 years because the boomers left and were replaced.
