Why does every old man at a bar want to rant about politics? And spit all over you?
At least they just piss drunk at the bar.

Boomer women are more bat shit insane and are the ones at every pro migrant or lgbt protest.

Seriously they have nothing better to do since don't have any families or real communities. They the first generation to get no fault divorce and divorced their husbands. Instead of raising their grand children, they are at these protests, protesting for more Muslims lol. Mind you this cunt probably lives in the most whitest neighborhood ever talking about friends (lying about being friends with some 25 year old Mohammads) but I bet you all hell would break loose if they were to build affordable housing in her neighborhood.

Perfect tools of the establishment yet they think they are "fighting the power".

A Boomer worshipper in the wild.

Ethical question for the thread:
For those of us who hate boombooms, is it ethical to be accomodating to the boomers around us in the hope that we'll be financially rewarded when they die? Im not talking about jeet-tier scamming, just being overly polite to grandparents and great grandparents hoping they'll not just donate everything to the Charity for Endless Niggers.

Its kinda dishonest, but so are they...what do you think?

Who cares if it's dishonest? People are always being dishonest on some level. Boomers still get to enjoy their wealth while they're living, so there's really no harm done to them. The biggest issue is that they probably will fuck you over and leave you with nothing, so there's a high potential for wasted effort.

One of the generational sins of millennials is making relationships transactional. You should help your family because they are your family. You should be nice to people as a default.

I stopped helping my boomer father with any projects as a preteen because he had hired some equpment which he thought was operated by one man but required two so I skipped school that day to help him and what I got was him screaming at me every fifteen minutes an entire day for not knowing how to do something I had never done before and not reading his mind. So I stopped helping. I have started again because he has started to ask and he tries to not be as much of an asshole anymore. He doesn't always succed but family is family.

Any inheritance I get will be pointless for me anyhow. It will go to the kid in the end.

I do still have the problem of looking at personal relationships in a transactional manner but I try.

Boomers turned Marriage into a competitive sport where you are supposed to have as many as possible. All the laws to punish dead beat dads were created because boomers would knock a women up and then disappear. A lot of boomer women would also pretend to be victims when they kept the children secret from the men. Meanwhile, popular culture and GenX had all this christpill crap shoved down their thoughts while Mommy and Daddy were basically swings, if they were even your biological parents.

Boomers lack theory of mind, so they actually can't teach anything and assume everyone is an anonymous caregiver they can abuse to no end. They were like this their entire lives. It's why male boomers would constantly look for women to be surrogate mother figures but also inferiors who they can constantly put down. Helping them is impossible because they don't want help, they want a captive audience to abuse. Also if you skipped school to help, your father was a shitty father.

I do still have the problem of looking at personal relationships in a transactional manner but I try.
Relationships are transactional. All those high minded ideas about family and duty are from a time when people lived together on farms and need to be tightly knit to survive against the elements. Continuing to practice that sort of loyalty is a liability now. It sounds nice in brochures but it's actually not realistic and it is no different than AI copier vomit. Empty platitudes.

Are you a millennial?

Of course you cant be forever loyal to anyone not reciprocating. That's not what I mean. I have heard millennials have endless arguments about household stuff where the burden has to be equal all the time. I swapped the diaper so you have to help with the bathroom break even though I am watching TV and you are in the middle of something productive. Stuff like that. Even discussing who payed for what when when they are fucking married and assets are 50% no matter what in the end. Reducing relationships to transactions and nothing more. You can do that at work or at the store but you shouldn't do it at home.

You should help your family because they are your family
I stopped helping my boomer father with any projects
him screaming at me
You stopped helping him because you were being mistreated? Sounds pretty transcational.

You refused to help your dad even though he's family.
Of course you cant be forever loyal to anyone not reciprocating.
Oh, so you aren't too retarded for nuance.

Your first post was poorly written and I feel I have to mock you, but you aren't creatively inspiring. :(

This just sounds extremely oversocialized. This logic keeps people in bad situations, it's some nice guy shit. It's often prudent to be polite, sure, but I wouldn't immediately go to nice. If you mean be nice in a tit for tat kinda way, where you do one favor but stop if it's not reciprocated, fine. But otherwise this is some cuck mindset.

...and often repeated by boomer narcs. Abusive parents harping on about how you can only trust family, how you should do everything for the family. Well, you, anyway, they do whatever shit they want.

The only somewhat one way relationship there is is from parent towards the child, but even then, you raise them right and do shit for them in order for them to carry on your line, so even there is some kind of transaction. And I think much of the frustration with the boomerish generations comes from them breaking that unspoken generational deal, where wealth and effort flows from the old generation to the young, in order to improve conditions over generations and build something that withstands the tides of time.

I own an 80s built house and it's also retarded. There is a "doorway" cut out of the wall from the kitchen to the hall but it is completely uneven and cannot actually fit any door. The one kitchen counter jutting out of part of the wall (I call it an island but it isn't) has the countertop side that sticks out more (so you can have stools there) on the wrong side, the side that the cabinets open. So functionally can't have stools at that counter. Bathroom construction between two upstairs bathrooms got confused with each other - tile floor in each bathroom matches the bathtub of the OTHER bathroom respectively. The space where the dining room light goes is not centered, looks retarded. Worst part is that, and forgive me, I'm a woman and I don't know what this shit is called, but at the large window in the living room, the boards behind the walls that can anchor stuff were put in the wrong way (I assume for convenience for the window), so the baseboard heater under the window is anchored to nothing and literally rips away from the wall and rips apart the wall. I spent a week trying to make it look like the wall is not destroyed/missing the inside. When my husband ripped the vanity off the wall of the hall bathroom, there was trash from installing the old one stuffed into the wall. When there was leak behind the shower in the other bathroom, my husband found old caulk tubes stuffed behind the wall. We laugh about it now, but there were a couple years of what-the-fuck-were-they-even-thinking.

Edit: also have the popcorn ceilings lmao
That sounds like Drunk Builder Syndrome, many houses suffer with that. Off topic to the thread but related: Cy Porter. There was this great video of his, I can't find it now, where he looks at 2 different houses and 1 has beer cans in the attic and the other has water bottles. Guess which one did better on the inspection..

Never buy a home with Aluminium (aluminum) wires. Wires are supposed to be copper.

It is so amazing to me that other people don't find it satisfying to fix things that are broken. It really proves to me that our entire society is structured wrong because we have worst matched people to build house, write software (poojeets), etc. etc.... doing these things.

I hate Boomers. I have known Boomers to repeat verbatim advertisements to me, not recount something, but parrot what they heard on television and then repeat it. I thought I was having a real conversation, explained how my experience was different, and no, I get the same parrot routine again! I can't tell if it's a dementia thing or they are all brain damaged. They have no concept that things are exaggerated in ads, and when you point that you to them they get upset with you, like you've ruined their day for giving them a reality check. I know that they actually understand this, because they will commiserate with you when you have bad experience, and be like "it's always like that", so you just feel bad about being tricked and screwed. Boomers are toxic.

When did I piss in your cornflakes?

I never said I refused him. I stopped offering and he didn't ask for 20 years.

Do you know the meaning of the word should? We should help our friends and family. We shouldn't treat them as an iterated prisoners dilemma.

What is the difference between going to the store and helping a friend or family?

I think the mercenary stance millenials have is a reaction to boomerish avarice and narcissism but we lose something vital if the only question we ever ask is how does this benefit me.

If love were unconditional it would be worthless. You should love people for their virtues that enrich your own life. You don't love people for "their own good" or for obligation. If anything, that's just insulting and even evil.

The most egregious example of boomers self mythologizing is this gay ass fucking movie (Blinded by the Light) that has the most boomer plot imaginable:
>A starry eyed pajeet living in the UK is inspired by the living legends of boomer music and finds his way to becoming immersed in the glory that is boomer culture.
>All the boomers he meets support him and make him feel at home on his pseudoreligious pilgrimage to see all the sights related to Bruce Springsteen
>The protagonist is a wide eyed POC who just wants to heckin love music
>The antagonists are his family's cultural values (which he rejects in favor of boomer culture) and evil rayciss wypipo.
>Ends with his family reconciling with the power of boomer vaguely liberal ideals (and the power of music or whatever)

This gay ass shit was advertised everywhere, and every boomer i met thought it was incredible.
It sounds like it would fit nicely between Forrest Gump and Across the Universe.

is it ethical to be accomodating to the boomers around us in the hope that we'll be financially rewarded when they die?
Well you sure opened up a can of worms with that one. Good question though. It's something I've struggled with with my own parents. It's been my experience that they've made their relationships with me transactional since day one. I'm pretty sure my Mom met my Dad, he had a nice car and owned his own business, and she thought, "This is my meal ticket" then got knocked up with me. His well off Mom, my Grandmother, essentially gave them a house. That sure was easy for both of them! My Mom was set for life then she realized what an absolute cheapskate my Dad is and had to pivot her life plan. He wouldn't even buy her a washing machine and I was in cloth diapers. He made her drive to the laundry mat to WASH ONLY and then she had to hang the laundry on the line even in winter.

So she had another baby, my sister, and shortly after that began having an affair with someone she met at work. Soon after, my parents got divorced. She got child support, help from the state, etc. Having kids and getting divorced was lucrative. It still is. It's very niggerish behavior. That is to say it's actually ALL transactional.

I agree with another commenter. I think you should be kind to people, yes even your boomer family, no matter what. Don't think of it as you may have something to gain in the end. Though I think if we are talking about your grandparents they are probably more fond of you than they are their own kids (your parents). Call it a hunch. So I think you'll be okay.

but parrot what they heard on television

I've said it before, boomers believe everything they see on tv like it's their boss. And like it's their job to believe it. It drives me crazy. I don't even indulge my Dad anymore when he tries to talk to me about what is going on in the world. The theory that most of them are heavily brain damaged by lead poisoning is probably true. It's the only thing that makes sense as far as many of their outrageous behaviors go.

I will reiterate, people who think that are genuinely the reason why the west is falling. Be kind no matter what? To boomer parents behaving like niggers? And getting naked in front of your kids (yes that's the fanfiction poster again)? Probably also be kind to junkies, criminals, niggers, muslims, rapefugees, they are all so poor they had a hard time, they just need some of our magic dirt and gibs and programs to become upstanding citizens.

I feel like half the west is so raped, so unable to be cold to those who deserve nothing but coldness, that ironically, in their wish to be kind no matter what, they are unmaking the world that made kindness possible.

Here's the biggest irony, the boomer mentality for niceness is selecting for RWDS Whites.

You think saying things like this means you're taking the high road. That is complete bullshit. And it's not something that is usual. It's you being submissive to narcissistic abuse. Before the boomer generation people were made of sterner stuff and wouldn't have accepted this shit. Many of them quite literally wouldn't have been able to afford it since most lived in a state of pure subsistence.

Enjoy your senile boomer dad abusing you and throwing around his shitty underwear in your house, I guess.

How do you know what I think? Weird!
Maybe I'm just a nice person. Isn't that possible? I suppose for people who have nothing but hate in their hearts for everyone and everything, it's probably hard to believe.

I s'pose I get it.
No, it's called having boundaries, dignity, and self-respect. You let a feeble old man push you around and complained about it in detail ITT but then when people tell you that it's bullshit you put up with it and try to give you solutions, you turn around and act like we're being the weird ones.

Shit or get off the pot nigger.
