On average, it does. However you are correct that Boomers have a sort of reverse caste system belief going on that makes them spiritually Indian. They both believe that boomers have a strong work ethic and tenacity and all that, but also that if they did it so can you. They take the perceived failure of current generations as proof that kids these days are lazy, and they were the last generation with any real gumption. They probably WERE more trustworthy as people back in their youth, because they knew Old Man Hendricks and he would beat the fuck out of them if they damaged his car and didn't settle accounts. But now that they're older and society is atomized, rather than admit their generation has decayed the public sentiment they can kill two birds with one stone: simply deny this could possibly be their fault, because they know you can't do anything to them.

That's very ignorant what you say. Boomers are not just traumatized and acting out the same bad treatment that they were exposed to. The boomers make a choice to act the way that they do and they know full well the impact of how they behave. They got everything easy in their lives and brag about it all the time, how money went further and all the opportunists that they had.

The first time I ever heard “the united states used to be a high trust society” was in an alt right podcast about 3 years ago and I’ve heard it more since then. I can’t believe it because it does not match my own experience. If the boomers are scammy assholes now, they have been that way their whole lives. People become more extreme versions of themselves as they age. They do not mellow with age at all. From the other accounts of boomer behaviour in this thread I know I am not alone in these sort of experiences.

i normally dont feel anything at any specific generation, but recently i realized that most of the issues im having are in fact, with baby boomers.

so i have some interests that i guess seem more popular with men than women. i collect antique mechanical clocks and music boxes, and i also like astronomy and i have a pretty decent telescope.
without fail, any group i have tried to join for these interests have been overrun with specifically men in their late 60s plus, and they all have an attitude.

Can't really talk about the states as I'm from eurofagistan, but IME whites are generally more honest and better behaving, but there are grades to "white", and even in the most aryan of places you always have scumbags. It's just that with browns, the level of scum can be 50, 60, 70, 100 %, and with whites it is less. But even if you have a small amount of scum that scams and shits up a place without harsh punishments, it destroys trust etc for everyone else. Like if you are in a nice place, and you hit someones car by accident, you'll own up to the fact if you know everyone else would too, if they damaged your car. But the higher the amount of assholes who won't, the less likely the honest ones are to own up to it too. Unless you are honest to a fault, but that just becomes a liability if enough scumbags are around.

Whites also break rules in entirely different ways.

For example, a lake that is only open to locals of that area but there are a handful of whites who know about it and visit even though they aren't locals. The number coming and the fact they don't cause problems usually means no harm no foul. They know the gig is up if too many people start coming or they leave trash everywhere. But nons will invite everyone they know and start shitting up the place, requiring rules to be more stringent in the future and even the locals behavior to be more regulated. Less people have fun.

This pattern repeats itself anywhere there is larger numbers of nons.

Even white trash as a concept is not what it used to be before the opioid epidemic and nons getting injected into a lot of poor white communities. White trash used to just mean you were poor and uneducated, classless, but not on the level of a ghetto nigger. Poor white behavior has been ghettoized increasingly because of larger numbers of nons forcing patterns of behavior to change in order to adapt.

Extreme examples of white criminality are typically outliers rather than normal subsets of the demographic and respond highly to environment. Whereas with nons like blacks they're just fucking like that a lot of the time absent environment and have larger numbers of that behavior paired with a larger number of those who tolerate it from within their communities.

Now that everything is tracked and on camera, people are less willing to do that to someone for most crimes. If they had today's surveillance technology and the Internet in the 70's, they'd put Flock camera's on every block even if it gave everyone terminal butthole cancer.
