gameplay side of BL3 to be kinda fun
Honestly don't get how people think bl3 is more fun gameplay wise than the previous. They just slapped on a generic modern day fps stuff to it that made it feel like every other soulless modern day fps

Like oh wow. Mantling. So fun. And forced to use vehicles vs being able to walk and explore like in the previous games isn't fun to me either. The large open maps is what makes me never want to bother playing it.

Gunplay felt better, slag doesn't exist, and they expanded the action skill system.
Gunplay felt like generic modern day gunplay, I don't mind slag at all, and the "expanded" action skill system just made it boring. Like imo most of not all the skill trees are not as interesting or fun as the other games. I had fun looking at all the skills and the unique things they could do like melee override and flavor text and unique abilities. Now it's all number go up, or get stack so number go up.

Nothing like the kunai, the badass holojacks, nuke turrets, light the fuse, the fact deathtrap is customizable with skills, all the meleeoverides, etc.

Deathtrap is worthless in higher difficulty levels and the fact you don't hate slag also tells me you never tried to play the higher levels.
Also I don't understand how expanding the action skills to make multiple variants that change how they function is making them more boring.

I literally beat uvhm and don't give a fuck to try op levels cuz it's just downhill from there. And did it solo with kreig

Deathtrap mostly exists to soak damage in uvhm, but his explosive perk is fine. OP levels is where he serves no real purpose. Krieg is also a very good character when you have full access to his tree and I would say he's only really annoying to play at lower levels.
OP levels are fine until a certain point and some characters it's not even worth it to really try.

I never gave too much of a shit for the story in borderlands, more interested in the characters and gameplay. With that said with new reveals for the characters i just dont have much interest since they all look generic(?) Is not like Zero, Krieg, Claptrap, Gage, etc. They all look boring. The only one i find interesting and that aint saying much is the Forgeknight aryan dood. Maybe with more gameplay shown i may get the game at a discount depending on how they went with it, sure as fuck aint paying 70-80 for it.

I cannot deal with BL1. From what I remembered from BL2, if you cleared an area, it stayed clear, at least until you reloaded it.

I played through lost cave, gathering shock crystals. Had to fight off a fucking horde of badass skags, including two badass elementals. Only to get what I need, attempt to leave... and see the cave filled AGAIN with those fucking things. Nostalgia made me forget about this happening 15 years ago when I played it first time. I will either quit or fire up cheat engine and deal with bullshit spawns another way.

None of the characters really got my attention from the State of Play. BL4 looks really dull.

If the playable siren is Ava im gonna lose my shit.
I'm more worried about how are they going to ruin Lilith even more. Ava is going to be shoved in your face. That's a given.

Not only will Ava be playable they will make her the most overpowered character in the series. Move over Salvador Ava is the new Queen.
Good power creep: Goku's son replaces him at a young age.
Shit power creep: You know that IP-long goddess siren? Yeah she's a whipped cuck now cause uhh Ava sad

Are you telling me you want to talk to Lilith more?

I want the whole cast to die. Unironically, the best thing about Borderlands is the current vault hunters returning as npcs with actual personality in the next game. Yet, like fighting games as of late, they reuse the same fucking characters from the first game over and over instead of continuing the trend. Imagine the lore potential of Moze, but no we get more MUSCLE MOMMY-but-also-inferior-to-Ava slop.

Any suggestions on a build I should go for? I'm maining Zane.
Out of the loop in regards to the final DLC items so apologies if this is outdated.

I've been running a Seein' Dead with STNL and clones since Jackpot launched. Extremely fun general build that makes M11 a breeze. Great for console peasants too because you don't have to git gud at aiming with the shoulder cannon.

For weapons you can pretty much take any enemy in the game with a Light Show, Hellwalker, strong SMG (I personally like the Needlegun and the Kaoson), and a strong assault rifle (Soulrender or O.P.Q System). I like to use Storm Front grenades and the Transformer as my shield.

I see you're very passionate about borderlands I retract my statement about a playable Ava.

Instead Tiny will be a DLC vault hunter locking it in.

I'm impressed anyone at Gearbox knows what "microgravity" means or grasps its consequences for developing organisms. Hard sci-fi shit is not what I associate with Borderlands. I still don't love these character designs, the nappy headed ho actually looked better with the ridiculous dreadlock sidecut from before, but I am now officially paying attention rather than resolving to sit back and enjoy the trainwreck.

I finished the main story in B3 last night, almost done the Hammerlock Faggotry DLC, kinda wishing there was more DLC, since I cleared the Halloween and Cartel event stuff too. I might go back and finish Tales, but it didn't really grab me.

I might hold my nose and go back to Pre-Sequel, since it is the only one I haven't finished yet, but that game's gameplay is not good enough to overcome the writing.
