Borderlands (1, 2, 3, The Pre-Sequel, TftB)

The only one I even marginally liked was the Christmas one where you get to meet Grandma Torgue and she has an extremely long story you have to pay attention to, because halfway through she'll quiz you to see if you've been paying attention and you have to start over if you give a wrong answer.
That’s the Thanksgiving one. Marcuse did the Christmas one.
aaaand that's my defense, I didn't play any other class in 3 past the prologue
3’s classes had just the right mix of things if you played them right. I didn’t play Moze or the Siren but Operative was 100% adrenaline junkie fun. My friends who played it did the drone and the shield because it was a safe mix but I found the clone/drone mix to be way more active and skill based. There was a perk where you could swap places with the clone and another that increased your damage based on your current speed so you would essentially never stop moving and find positions to swap to the clone that would let you hit max speed prior to swapping and then set you up for the next swap. Coupled with the clone and drone throwing grenades every little fight became chaos.

I also liked the beast master being a mix of Mordecai and Zero. It was possible to just rack up crits and produce ammo so you didn’t have to reload.

The best way to handle this series would’ve been to go to Netflix for the free money, and make a 10 episode series with a similar artstyle to the games. Put it right after borderlands 2 ending where all the vaults have just been discovered and make it the vault hunters splitting up into teams to go and open them. Each episode being them opening a random vault and fighting a big monster. Maybe 1 or two flashback episodes so you can put Roland and Handsome Jack in.

It took 15 years, but I finally found an Ogre. Still no Serpens or Tsunami, to this day all the pearls I've looted only include Stalkers, Undertakers and Avengers after probably thousands of Farmory runs.

What's our prospects on a Borderlands 4 bros? Are you even excited for it, or are you wary after 3 and the stopgap slop that is the Tiny Tina game. I suppose if it has good gameplay, then I could just mute the dialogue.

I hope the movie bombs, sinks the studio and Bitchford fellates an Unforgiven.

After playing around with BL1 PT 2.5, I gotta conclude that they massively buffed the drops. I farmed the Crimson Armory for maybe 16 hours across 4 days and during that time I experienced things that literally never happened during the 800 or so hours I spent in the original version, namely:
• enemies (regular and badasses) dropping legendary guns. This has NEVER occurred ONCE for me despite numerous claims being on the wiki (made before it was infected by fandom).
• Finding two Ogres, of which I have looted none previously.
• Legendaries appearing in white chests. This is so unlikely that I actually screenshotted the one case of this happening in the 2009 release, where I found a light-orange (shit) Volcano in a Crimson Armory white chest. To put things in perspective, by that point I had 10+ Pearls.
• A badass rocketeer dropping an Undertaker (which then plummetted into the abyss because nobody considered flying enemies dropping their loot in inaccessible areas to be a problem).
• Vendorlands being much more prominent. Roughly one in ten game loads had a legendary spawn as the item of the day, and sometimes it would simply appear on the regular item list.
Right now I'm sitting on just two Undertakers, one normal and one corrossive. Again, in 16 hours. An Armory run is basically guaranteed to net you a minimum of 3 Volcanoes and Equalizers, that's how common they are. Along with 10+ eridian weapons, which feels like a bug - every third Crimson Lance chest seems to have a set in it.
Defiler and Orion are still as broken as they were (the former onetapping Lance Defenders through shields on a headshot), and a Draco on a Roland running full overload with a Heavy Gunner COM (+80% mag size) can still get a 398 round mag.
Will probably update if once I get a Serpens.

what dose PT stand for? is it a mod like the community patch? i would play the game again if that's the case.

Playthrough. 2.5 means after killing the Destroyer in the base game Playthrough 2, which causes all enemies and loot to scale to your level. Knoxx DLC PT 2.5 unlocks after finishing killing him and lotting the armory for the first time, otherwise it doesn't go higher than level 52.
As for mods, there is a nexus section.

Damn, apparently 3 (or whatever version of UE it runs on) had its SDK released and they immediately made a mod that skips dialogue with a single button press for both 3 and Wonderlands. 3 is officially playable now. I even caved in and spent $5 on those shitty "cuts" DLC bundles just to finally have everything.
It's actually kind of sad when you think about it, really.
1 knew that the NPC dialogue was good (for the most part, everything Tannis says is fucking ear cancer) and had a dedicated log tab which allowed you to replay all of them as you wished. Back when 1 was the only BL game I made a habit of replaying all of Knoxx's audio during farmory run drives.
2 removed the option 100% because Burch wanted you to hear it all. Credit where it's due, it wasn't that horrible despite being already infected with LOLSORANDUMB XD and didn't impede your progress. I will say however that if they kept the log replay option I'd absolutely abuse it to make some characters shut the fuck up.
TPS pushed this shit up to 11. Burch was so far up his own ass he'd have you sit for upwards of TWO AND A HALF MINUTES and wait for some gay retard to finish his exposition to press a fucking button that unlocks a door.
3 broke the lever off and swallowed it. I didn't really realize how much time was wasted standing around listening to NPCs yapping away - going through the entirety of the Anvil, start to finish, ending with rescuing Hammerlock, took me maybe 10 minutes.

oh right, they were making a Boderlands movie.

and it looks awful.
What the fuck nigga. Why is Lilith a 50yo tranny and 70% of the trailer's runtime focuses on her swinging random guns around? Why does Tannis look like M from James Bond, age and retirement status included? Where did Roland's testicles disappear to? How much harder would it have been to keep Claptrap sounding goofy instead of just creepy?
This is gonna be a fucking trainwreck and I don't mean the "Welcome to Pandora kiddos" kind. Might hate-watch with a friend I used to play BL2 with if I feel particularly masochistic.

E: I guess as for Lilith now her name finally checks out lol

One of the iconic aspects of Borderlands is enemies exploding like water balloons full of blood even if they're killed by a handgun.

There's no blood in this trailer at all, enemies hit by bullets just slump over and fall to the ground.

Fucking boring, also isn't Lilith like 20? Roland is this massive hulk of a man too he's not 5'7.

God this sucks.

They finally decided to show Moxxi. honestly
