I don’t have much hope for BL4 but there is at least a small chance that with Gearboxes shit writing that by accident alone they manage to write all 4 characters into hilariously racist stereotypes.

This trailer looks...so painfully generic that even the comments are pointing out that the V.H's designs look uninspired. Outside of the big guy, who will obviously be the tank, what else the other 3 communicate? NOTHING! Just that they are just more of the same designs and, no doubt, character tropes we saw in modern millenial writing in the last decade.

This franchise is dead and the Borderlands movie is the evidence that people dont give a shit about it anymore. Gearbox was able to kill this series.

Imagine if they do a 180 and the next trailer is where the actual main characters appear and they kill the imposters. Sadly gearbox doesnt have that kind of creativity and i feel they just wanna make the game "relevant" by trying to appease the minority that doesnt even play video games. I was thinking that but midget riding around with them. And a mechanic were you technically can have 3 guns front at once with the alt but once the ammo runs out the loader scraps it, it require you to keep white guns around and you even gain some buffs depending on the manufacturer of the gun.

I have to admit I'm mildly curious how they can possibly write characters more annoying and insufferable than The Calypso Twins.

You know its bad when I can already say that Borderlands 3 already have 4 beaten on the character designs. Say whatever you want about 3, there is a lot of bad but at least the character designs stood out.
I recall that they designed the mercs in TF2 in a way that you can recognize them by their silhouettes alone. If you were to do the same with the new VHs, outside of the big guy, you wont be able to tell them apart or even anything about who they are.

And as I said, even people, who I assume are the fans that stuck around, are calling out on these very generic designs. Not even they are buying.

I recall I once heard that Borderlands saved Gearbox from bankrupcy...it will be rather poetic if its the franchise that brings it to it.

Once upon a time, I might have even said that would be clever but this is Gearbox so the answer will probably be something stupid.

I wish Borderlands didn't go all in on the Sirens, and had some other magic/psychic shit in the universe. Committing to there only being seven Sirens has made it painful to work around as the series goes on.

They should be willing to have characters based on some enemy archetypes from pervious games, like a former nomad from BL2. They had excellent dialog and were portrayed as more intelligent than other bandit types. So if Krieg was based on a psycho-type bandit, a nomad-type PC would have some sort of action skill based on his shield, and perhaps even being able to digistruct midgets as allies.

I would say at one point they had the power to sway and influence opinion on games, but that changed as they started to shill out and have dumb reviews. Thing is that nowadays people tend to go for the "small reviewers" or they just go to the game reviews directly with the input of the players. Doesnt help that they now, in a subtle manner at times, insult the gamers they are trying to convince of playing X game.



As for the character designs, too much niggers, if it was one maybe 2 and their design werent so ghetto, i would like it. Secondly their designs dont stand out excpet maybe for the big tall guy, but its because he is tall, there is nothing truly separating them in terms of design. Randycan still unfuck himself if he just tweaks the designs a little, but i think the DEI cock has been shoved into his throat.
