Can highly recommend watching a replay of the Wardley/Dubois fight. Two guys absolutely knocking lumps out of each other. Shocked that it lasted as long as it did. A bit nasty towards the end though and should have been called off about 9 rounds in, imo.
The entire card was great tbh, with one very funny upset.

The thing of fighting a guy from outside the sport and then showing up not having taken training so seriously? Yeah.
Pretty inexcusable from Usyk given he's a) been seen as a consummate professional his career and b) was there when Tyson Fury fucked up and almost lost to Ngannou a few years ago. If he did take it seriously - big sign he better hang the gloves up.

Rico looked quite good given that his kickboxing his mostly him not being a boxer, but trying to kick and knee. His hands typically look quite meh in kickboxing fights. Stoppage was arse but whatever. Rico comes out looking like a hero and can probably get himself another big fight/rematch and Usyk can keep his belt for however long he decides to still fight. Knowing how this goes, whoever Rico faces next will probably ice him out because they take one look at him and train very, very hard.
 
I remember the clip of Usyk having a "tsk tsk" look on his face watching Francis Ngannou fighting against Anthony Joshua. I genuinely expected him to take the fight seriously, outsider or not as his opponent.

Agreed. Rico was covering really well and had a lot of snap with his shots. Reminds me of Sergey Kovalev, the way he was hunched over, constantly pressing forward and throwing heavy.

And of course, the stoppage was early. A rematch isn't super interesting, but if he wants to do it, that's fine. There is a good chance he can pull off a Nasukawa-type record especially considering that he's in a middling division with slow fighters.

His gas tank impressed as well given he has only career wise gone the equivalent of 5 boxing rounds. Took till about round 10 to start to gas/get tired. Plan was good as well. Just be weird, active, smother and try and use size in clinch (Usyk actually pretty good in there).

Usyk - if you see him fight other guys, he's always got that lead hand out, feinting up and down, using it well. Here it was nonexistent. First sign that something is up. He did pull the excuse after that apparently (and I haven't checked) bombs were dropped in Ukraine and he got a call from his daughter, but apparently he also turned up his heaviest - sign he didn't take this so seriously.
