Lately RIOT has been Shitting out games twice a year and their MMO is complete and ready for release . Riot is owned entirely by TenCent which is guilty of various practices, not counting League of Legend related shitty games, spying and censorship.

China has 1,4 billion people and a shitload of companies. Instead of putting them all into a basket, why not look up the business practices of the company which developed the game you are interested it? You can say the same about Japanese game companies when it comes to loli faggotry for example.

It's harder to boycott companies that are monopolies in the country you live in. It's way easier to boycott Chinese companies. Also, there's ways to get rid of Bill Gate's bloatware/spyware shit. You're comparing an Operating System with Game studios. Not really a fair comparison.

Gatcha games and mobile games are what they put out the most, and investing any money into something that has no tangible irl value if the servers finally shut down is nuts. I play older games and games that don't rely on the internet in general, particularly single player games. Most Chinese games are not that.

I see the CEOs and the CCP itself as the cancer. Chinese developers do seem to have a passion, but the problem is always the higher ups and big wigs. I mostly feel bad for the people who make the games, mainly if it is clear they like games out of passion and aren't programming a cheap clone or knock off for a quick buck.

CEOs & marketing are fat and gay in the west too, but the added layer of the CCP owning them is gross since I don't want the Chinese government to have more of my money than it probably already has. The smallest of "But at least" statements I can make is "At least Bethesda & other western based large corporations are spending it on cocaine and not the fucking mess that is the CCP." Video games are the most popular form of entertainment but they're a small fry in China's economy. It's better to boycot larger parts of their economy if you don't like China in addition to video games if you can afford it.
