Women with BPD are queens, so I am making this thread to show our appreciation and love of BPD princesses. Some symptoms of BPD are
  • Fear of Abandonment: People with BPD often have an intense fear of being abandoned or left alone. This can lead to frantic efforts to prevent real or perceived abandonment, even over minor issues.
  • Unstable Relationships: Relationships are often marked by intense and unstable emotions, swinging from idealization to devaluation. This can cause significant distress in personal and professional relationships.
  • Identity Disturbance: There is often a persistent and unstable self-image, leading to frequent changes in goals, opinions, values, and behaviors. This can make it difficult to maintain a consistent sense of self.
  • Impulsivity: Engaging in potentially self-damaging behaviors, such as reckless spending, unsafe sex, substance abuse, or binge eating, is common.
  • Emotional Instability: Rapid and intense mood swings, lasting from hours to days, are typical. These can include episodes of intense anger, depression, or anxiety.
  • Anger Issues: Difficulty controlling anger can result in frequent displays of temper, arguments, or physical fights.
  • Self-Harm: Many people with BPD use coping methods such as self-harm or substance use to deal with difficult emotions.
  • Cognitive Distortions: People with BPD may experience distorted thinking patterns, such as black-and-white thinking, where everything is seen as either all good or all bad.
  • Perceptual Distortions: Some individuals may experience brief episodes of abnormal perceptions, such as hearing voices or having distressing beliefs that are difficult to disprove.

Idk why we’re appreciating the Baltimore Police Department but okay, I found one.

You're making a mockery of a serious condition by calling it "queen" behavior. Listing BPD symptoms like they're part of a personality test is just plain stupid. You're turning people's mental health struggles into a sideshow. Asking for anecdotes about "BPD women" is intrusive and disrespectful. You're not fighting stigma; you're feeding it with this nonsense. If you actually cared, you'd do more than slap a "queen" label on it; you'd advocate for real change.

This thread is a disgrace, not support.

Before the DSM-V, some studies were beginning to explore the possibility that BPD could be a manifestation of sociopathy or psychopathy in a female subject combined with a factitious disorder or groups of disorders. The idea was that many of the defining traits of BPD can be explained by a sociopath's machiavellian manipulation strategies. BPD women are known to be hypochondriacs in addition to the traits OP listed, and they can be violent. There's not a lot of difference between them and sociopaths, especially if you consider that BPDs could be using self-harm to manipulate others, lie about their emotional states to gain sympathy, and so on.

The question is: are the emotional states and emotionally-driven activities that BPD patients report genuine or are they performances? We won't get closer to the truth for a long time because the DSM-V is the same version of the DSM that changed Gender Identity Disorder into Gender Dysphoria and made a lot of other changes that political activists influenced.

Never trust someone with a BPD diagnosis. Therapy doesn't work on them and only teaches them how to manipulate people better. They will hurt you and everyone else they know.
