Well, since you asked so kindly...

Here's the original claim that I made:

The significance of 7_4 is nonexistent as it's absolutely no problem to find any other given set of numbers (that might even have more than just one digit!) and still end up with just as much "pseudo-evidence".

...so here goes...

Spoiler: numbers 'tism

Since we all know how much Brad values the scientific method, I'll lay down the methods that I used to disprove the validity of his gematria hocus pocus and to highlight how any arbitrary number system can create supposedly meaningful results.
As a small disclaimer, this is only a very rough outline since I can't be bothered to sink more than a couple of minutes into this, and I don't intend to make you suffer through more of a wall of text than necessary. Once the methodology is laid down, you could easily elaborate this in any desired direction if you're willing to invest the time, so I guess I'll get my point across.

First of all: What numbers did I choose? Since I stated this would even work with numbers that have more than 1 digit, I chose to go the extra mile and took a one digit number and a two digit numner:

5 and 13

I chose them out of convenience, since both numbers already have a certain importance, especially 13, which is seen as a bad luck number and a lot of superstition revolves around it, therefore I figured it would be easy to google stuff for it.

So, how do I employ these? I figured I'd use the simple gematria method of getting the value of a word phrase or name.
A value is considered important when it is equal to a whole-numbered multiple of 5 and 13. Additionally, 18 (13+5) and 8 (13-5) are considered to be of mild importance. Just like Brad ignores the "O" in "God" to get his 7_4 thingy, I decided that for certain numbers, the 0 can be ignored, too (thus, 110 can be shortened to 11).

Now, there's obvious things and trivia to point out like the week being 5 days + weekend or how there was 13 people present at the Last Supper (Jesus + 12 disciples), but I don't want to drag this out too much, just a couple of examples:
This wasn't really by design, more a coincidence, but 5 and 13 are part of the Fibonacci numbers, everything that can be said about the Fibonacci numbers and all the influence/observations on architecture, art, nature etc. can be also applied to my numbers mumbo jumbo.
Additionally, 5 and 13 are 2 of only 3 known Wilson Primes.
5 is the number of platonic solids, 13 is the number of archimedean solids.
5 is the only prime number that's a sum of 2 consecutive prime numbers.
Humans have 5 senses.
Another nice bit of Trivia is, that 13 is the first compound number in germanic languages. Some years have 13 full moons, much to the dismay of monks who used to have to run a calender.
There's also a couple of religious aspects like the aforementioned Last Supper, in certain aspects of Judaism, God has 13 attributes of mercy and the jewish faith has 13 principles, according to some other sect... though I won't claim to be an expert on this, @voiceguy might be able to comment on this.
I guess these are sufficient examples as to highlight how relevant and important the numbers 5 and 13 are, so now off to a more concrete example.

Let's take a very short look at history to see how I apply my methods - specifically, the year 1305 (13|5), which conveniently started on a Friday (5th day of the week):

- On June 5, Clement V became the new pope. He was the 195th (= 15 * 13 = 3 * 5 * 13) pope. Said pope set out to destroy the Templar Knights 2 years later on October (octo means , Friday (again: 5th day of the week) the 13th. Philip of France (value of 138, 13 and 8) was of large importance for this plan.
- William Wallace was caught on August (8th month in modern calenders) the 5th.
- Wencelaus III of Bohemia (value of 180 = 18 = 13 + 5) becomes King of Bohemia.
- Ashikaga Takauji (value = 130 = 2 * 5 * 13), who'd later become Shogun in Japan, was born this year.

As we have seen in multiple posts made by Brad, he'll be happy to highlight certain words like "according" for having a gematric value of 74 - and that's supposed to be meaningful somehow. So here's a list of random words with a gematric value of 65 (5*13):
Barack Obama, Prince, White, Music, Florida, Horse, Alphabet, Beloved, State, Poker, Angry, Chandler , Breast, Armor, XBox , King Crab and last but not least: Random.

And a list for the value 135 (13 and 5):
Tiger Woods, Rothschilds, Wall Street, A Bohemian Grove, Stock Exchange, Alien Microchip, Planet X False, Black Monolith, My second Seal, Mount Sinai, Trousers, Lunar Eclipse, Vulgarity, Remember this, Jump the gun, Apostle John, It is in Heaven, God of Baphometh (see how this neatly ties up with the Templar Knights?).

Bonusround: Planet Namek
The name "Namek" has 5 letters, in Japanese (where the name originated from) it has 5 signs (ナメック星). The middle letter is the "M" which is the 13th letter in the alphabet.
One year on Namek is 130 days long (so, 13*5*2). It was destroyed by "Frieza" (value: 65 = 5*13).
This is based on a comic by Akira Toriyama (5 letters + 8 letters = 13).

In conclusion, I feel justified when I say that this kind of numbers hogswash doesn't really say anything meaningful. As I have shown, you can pick any 2 random numbers and look for them whereever you want, the longer you're willing to do numbers crunching, the more likely it is you'll find something eventually. This can by no means be considered proof of a higher scheme or divine plan and is more indicative of the dedication of the one doing the math to find any vague coincidential relation. Attributing certain values to letters to then claim importance when words end up with a certain sum is equally hare brained, since you'll always find ominous, foreboding sounding words when you dig through a dictionary long enough.

This is all very slapdash, I know, but as I said, I didn't want to waste too much time on something that noone aside from Brad would question and Brad will just ignore it anyway. now shower me with :autism: ratings for actually going through with this nonsense...

My original claim was made on september 16. Now's the 29th. 13 days passed since then. Just sayin'

If I am wrong, Brad, please feel free to correct me (I know you will anyway) but didn't you once say you started working on your "theory" 25 years ago? Here's the original claim that I made:

Since we all know how much Brad values the scientific method, I'll lay down the methods that I used to disprove the validity of his gematria hocus pocus and to highlight how any arbitrary number system can create supposedly meaningful results.
As a small disclaimer, this is only a very rough outline since I can't be bothered to sink more than a couple of minutes into this, and I don't intend to make you suffer through more of a wall of text than necessary. Once the methodology is laid down, you could easily elaborate this in any desired direction if you're willing to invest the time, so I guess I'll get my point across.

First of all: What numbers did I choose? Since I stated this would even work with numbers that have more than 1 digit, I chose to go the extra mile and took a one digit number and a two digit numner:

5 and 13

I chose them out of convenience, since both numbers already have a certain importance, especially 13, which is seen as a bad luck number and a lot of superstition revolves around it, therefore I figured it would be easy to google stuff for it.

So, how do I employ these? I figured I'd use the simple gematria method of getting the value of a word phrase or name.
A value is considered important when it is equal to a whole-numbered multiple of 5 and 13. Additionally, 18 (13+5) and 8 (13-5) are considered to be of mild importance. Just like Brad ignores the "O" in "God" to get his 7_4 thingy, I decided that for certain numbers, the 0 can be ignored, too (thus, 110 can be shortened to 11).

Now, there's obvious things and trivia to point out like the week being 5 days + weekend or how there was 13 people present at the Last Supper (Jesus + 12 disciples), but I don't want to drag this out too much, just a couple of examples:
This wasn't really by design, more a coincidence, but 5 and 13 are part of the Fibonacci numbers, everything that can be said about the Fibonacci numbers and all the influence/observations on architecture, art, nature etc. can be also applied to my numbers mumbo jumbo.
Additionally, 5 and 13 are 2 of only 3 known Wilson Primes.
5 is the number of platonic solids, 13 is the number of archimedean solids.
5 is the only prime number that's a sum of 2 consecutive prime numbers.
Humans have 5 senses.
Another nice bit of Trivia is, that 13 is the first compound number in germanic languages. Some years have 13 full moons, much to the dismay of monks who used to have to run a calender.
There's also a couple of religious aspects like the aforementioned Last Supper, in certain aspects of Judaism, God has 13 attributes of mercy and the jewish faith has 13 principles, according to some other sect... though I won't claim to be an expert on this, @voiceguy might be able to comment on this.
I guess these are sufficient examples as to highlight how relevant and important the numbers 5 and 13 are, so now off to a more concrete example.

Let's take a very short look at history to see how I apply my methods - specifically, the year 1305 (13|5), which conveniently started on a Friday (5th day of the week):

- On June 5, Clement V became the new pope. He was the 195th (= 15 * 13 = 3 * 5 * 13) pope. Said pope set out to destroy the Templar Knights 2 years later on October (octo means , Friday (again: 5th day of the week) the 13th. Philip of France (value of 138, 13 and 8) was of large importance for this plan.
- William Wallace was caught on August (8th month in modern calenders) the 5th.
- Wencelaus III of Bohemia (value of 180 = 18 = 13 + 5) becomes King of Bohemia.
- Ashikaga Takauji (value = 130 = 2 * 5 * 13), who'd later become Shogun in Japan, was born this year.

As we have seen in multiple posts made by Brad, he'll be happy to highlight certain words like "according" for having a gematric value of 74 - and that's supposed to be meaningful somehow. So here's a list of random words with a gematric value of 65 (5*13):
Barack Obama, Prince, White, Music, Florida, Horse, Alphabet, Beloved, State, Poker, Angry, Chandler , Breast, Armor, XBox , King Crab and last but not least: Random.

And a list for the value 135 (13 and 5):
Tiger Woods, Rothschilds, Wall Street, A Bohemian Grove, Stock Exchange, Alien Microchip, Planet X False, Black Monolith, My second Seal, Mount Sinai, Trousers, Lunar Eclipse, Vulgarity, Remember this, Jump the gun, Apostle John, It is in Heaven, God of Baphometh (see how this neatly ties up with the Templar Knights?).

Bonusround: Planet Namek
The name "Namek" has 5 letters, in Japanese (where the name originated from) it has 5 signs (ナメック星). The middle letter is the "M" which is the 13th letter in the alphabet.
One year on Namek is 130 days long (so, 13*5*2). It was destroyed by "Frieza" (value: 65 = 5*13).
This is based on a comic by Akira Toriyama (5 letters + 8 letters = 13).

In conclusion, I feel justified when I say that this kind of numbers hogswash doesn't really say anything meaningful. As I have shown, you can pick any 2 random numbers and look for them whereever you want, the longer you're willing to do numbers crunching, the more likely it is you'll find something eventually. This can by no means be considered proof of a higher scheme or divine plan and is more indicative of the dedication of the one doing the math to find any vague coincidential relation. Attributing certain values to letters to then claim importance when words end up with a certain sum is equally hare brained, since you'll always find ominous, foreboding sounding words when you dig through a dictionary long enough.

This is all very slapdash, I know, but as I said, I didn't want to waste too much time on something that noone aside from Brad would question and Brad will just ignore it anyway. now shower me with :autism: ratings for actually going through with this nonsense...
