He's really lingering in Stage 3 today. Brad really wants to prove something to us, somehow, today.

Odd that I started the day by asking if he could, hypothetically, enjoy a friendly game of golf (one of his favorite pastimes) without keeping score. No numbers, no hidden messages, just two people enjoying the sunshine, having a few beverages, practicing their swings, and talking about fun stuff.

Brad's answer was an absolute and unquestionable "NO", and seemed offended and indignant at the idea. I think that says a lot, that his compulsion to play with numbers is so strong that he not only wouldn't enjoy a friendly day on the course, but he feels the need to argue against even the hypothetical suggestion of one. As if the idea of other people enjoying the game for the social aspect threatens his mentally ill worldview.

Yes, the King James Bible has many, many translation errors. This is not new to anyone in the business. You want a really egregious one? Try looking up Mark 1:2, and then backtracking to the original Greek. If you look at the Hebrew of the Ten Commandments., you get לא תרצח "Do not murder" or "do not smash (people) to pieces". You do NOT get a generalized לא תהרג "Do not kill".

I have never pretended to be Christian. I have also managed to not kill anyone. However, Jesus does not categorically ban killing. In Matthew 5:17-19, he affirms the Mosiatic Law, which prescribes death for all sorts of things. He instructs his followers to buy arms Luke 22:36, even going so far as to telling them to sell the cloak on their backs to raise money for swords.

Jesus certainly did not command a categorical ban on killing.
