Brainstorming for my Nick Rekieta Documentary-WIP - give me ideas for edits, stuff I should add, and memes that fit into the script

Based for actually following through with it, but I'm not going to watch this.
Along with what everyone else has already said, I recommend sitting up straight, and deepening your voice an octave or two so you actually sound like a man. Remember that the voice comes from the stomach. consider eating more steak and lifting weights as well.

Edit: Also, don't be discouraged from the feedback and think that you've fucked up beyond all salvation. You can simply redo this video so it's actually watchable. I have faith in your autism, son.

Bröther you need to enunciate your words clearly and either speak louder or get a better mic or adjust the audio levels.

I haven’t finished the video yet but I just wanted to say that. I know it’s not easy putting yourself out there to the internet unless you’re a total narcissist so I don’t want to make this seem like a harsh critique, it’s just constructive criticism.

I'm going to be polite since you seem to at least be trying.

Your mumbling and voice volume is a problem. You need to speak louder and clearer. If you havent already, get a desk mic or better yet a stand mic with a pop filter. Consider using nVidia broadcast to filter out any background BS.

Take this video down, reupload a take 2 with a better voice track.

Voicing over his streams or rather images as you did in the middle section of the video is better than using stock videos, similar editing like the Down the Rabbit Hole series. Some people don't mind stock images and I wouldn't consider this a big priority compared to the other complaints but yeah I would like to see more of this Nick Rekieta documentary.

A brief comparison.

Part 1 of the Chris Chan documentary within the first minute explains with a voice over why Chris Chan is interesting as he's one of the most documented humans in history. The voice is clear and distinct from the rest of the audio. There are plenty of clips of Chris without audio, simply showing his eccentric movements and are edited to show a clear starkness in progression of insanity over time. Clips are even edited to compliment the music, with him punching a plushy timed along with a crescendo in the music. Weird phrases he said are used sparingly and highlight a contrast in his arcs. Obviously part 1 has been redone since it's only 5 years old but there it's clear the variety of Chris was present focal point. It asks questions about why we are fascinated which leads into the start of the history.

The first minute of the Nick doc features music with lyrics, that distract from Nick's ranting while the choice of clips are presented in a more derogatory sense rather than a change over time sense. You do not change the music when speaking, making it hard to hear what you are saying while another singer belts out behind you. As others mentioned your audio is fucked, which ruins pretty much anything you’re saying. It was hard to tell when you stopped and when a Nick clip started when listening audio only. The timeline feels rushed, exacerbated by the audio issues and the "documentary" quickly falls apart because it's impossible to tell why Nick is interesting and when the story started.

TL;DR: The Chris Chan history series is thoughtfully produced as documentary episodes with a generally unbiased, inquisitive approach to CWC's antics and standard television length to the installments. The Nick Doc has a notable detractor vibe too it, is far shorter and rushed that features significant amateurish technical mistakes that detract hard enough to ruin the whole project.

I would also like to say that Rekieta isn't a good fit for a docuseries. He doesn't really have full-fledged arcs and storylines, more so a constant public alcoholic decline that has been a fun train wreck to watch outside of his actual content. Actual Nick is insufferable to watch and listen to. He isn't interesting on his own per say, but he is great to make fun of due to how much he lies about his downfall. It's going to be a bitch to make any kind of edited content about Nick Rekieta as a whole.

You don’t think that it would be feasible to make a “long-form” 1-1.5hr Rekieta video covering the “rise and fall”?

I think a one off would be feasible. But that's not a docuseries like the Chris Chan history. It's also important to note Nicks decline in just the last 6 months has been dramatic to say the least. Even if OP made a perfect documentary with this thread, it would probably get outdated by Nick's drunken rampages by the end of the year.

This is shit. Clearly, you've only been in this space for months now. Anyway, Nick doesn't have long-term arcs like Chris Chan does, as pointed out by @Lokenstien. Rekieta is more of a Mad At The Internet presentation, considering there are leaps of time for Rekieta Law. From early beginnings in the once lively sektur (Maddox v Masterson and bloodsports), prominent cases like Rittenhouse and Depp, and the alcoholic decline into the 2020s. Remember, Rekieta was once likable, and please admit that you are a tranny. Your voice gives it away.

The video has glaring technical problems and it's hard to listen with the music muffling out the quite voice but I'm all for people making content and using the forum as a resource to talk about their favorite crazy people. If OP keeps improving his videos and taking the criticism people are giving to heart I think he can make something really good.

That's a really good point. Stock footage is distracting because it takes me a moment to realize that it's just filler and unrelated to the subject matter. It's actually worse than CS:GO surfing gameplay footage in that way.

I would actually consider using the AI generated NewsCat avatar as a still image that fills the screen when there is no relevant footage to show. Or even pay someone on Fiverr to draw you a few still images of your NewsCat in different states and moods. I believe YouTubers call them "rantsonas."

I would disagree on this point. As a former avid watcher of Balldoman, his career has obvious arcs and storylines if you look at it like this:

The Maddox Saga - how Nick got his start.
The Tumult About Vic Lasagna - how his friend fumbled the ball and he had to cover for him.
The Rittenhouse Riot - where Nick capstones his highly successful coverage of the trial by asking a young man whether he likes balls and vagene on his futanari porn.
The Drexel Debacle - this one writes itself.

I will also say some positive things about the first episode: I actually liked the detractor clip compilation at the start. I also thought the part where you cover Nick's story about racist cops coming to arrest two fighting jiggaboos on the schoolbus was good and funny.

liked and subbed.
